The Amazing Spider-Man is the story of Peter Parker (Garfield), an outcast high schooler who was abandoned by his parents as a boy, leaving him to be raised by his Uncle Ben (Sheen) and Aunt May (Field). Like most teenagers, Peter is trying to figure out who he is and how he got to be the person he is today. Peter is also finding his way with his first high school crush, Gwen Stacy (Stone), and together, they struggle with love, commitment, and secrets. As Peter discovers a mysterious briefcase that belonged to his father, he begins a quest to understand his parents' disappearance - leading him directly to Oscorp and the lab of Dr Curt Connors (Ifans), his father's former partner. As Spider-Man is set on a collision course with Connors' alter-ego, The Lizard, Peter will make life-altering choices to use his powers and shape his destiny to become a hero.

The Amazing Spider-Man hits theaters July 3rd, later this year.

I don't like how, in the trailer, he can stick to the top of the subway car with his feet even though he is wearing sneakers.

@ dopemaster- I kinda found that odd as well.

It was the same throughout the Raimi movies and the comics. They don't explain how he clings through his shoes.
Hopefully they'll have a good reason in this movie.

@Boyle360: He doesn't wear shoes in the Raimi movies or in the comics, but he does in this movie.

@golden123
What are you talking about? Yes he does. When he crawls up that wall for the first time he was wearing sneakers, and he has shoes on his costume.

ManofSteel23 - 1/28/2012, 8:06 AM
He looks alot more like peter parker in my ultimate spiderman comics,spidey is suppost to be flexible and agile,toby looked abit bulky,I like the suit I just hope they change it in the sequel,and tbh If I was a kid who wanted to make a spidey suit,Id make it look modern and cool too,not bright colours,and maybe in this movie it shows HOW he makes it,properly

I love it when people get pissed and retaliate towards @Grif. It's called trolling. When you bitch at him, he's winning.

StrangerX
StrangerX - 1/28/2012, 8:22 AM
@boyle360- True but that scene is forgivable since that's also the first scene when we see that he has those little hairs from his fingers to cling to the wall, and since he uses his hands mostly in that scene it never really says he can use his feet to cling to walls as well.

The guy's body is so thin that his head winds up looking enormous in the suit. This is why the best pictures of Garfield in the spidey suit are with his mask off.

His arms alone wouldn't be enough to efficiently climb up the wall.
Besides we've seen him stick using only his feet plenty of times.
