Could be surprisingly good.....also could suck major a$$. So far it looks like it's gonna suck major a$$.

@Darantino Sorry it is not. I believe that "It's a Bird...It's a Plane...It's Superman" (1966) was the first, even predating Little Orphan Annie(1977) another Broadway Musical based off a comic.

@spideyqyuad if this is your first broadway show i have to say you are just ignorant. broadway has supplied endless amounts of artistic achievement for millions and just cause its a comic your gonna see a dumbass show with music by an overrated band and performed by an even worse one... i'm a huuuge spidey fan but will not spend the time or money to sit through crap i did that with spider-man 3 :)

because its all about money!!!! they did not have the right creative team to pull of this project and its very clear Marvel did not pay enough attention with all thats going on in the film industry at the moment. a flop no Spider-Man is an iconic hero that represents New York just the other day i saw an amazing mural of Spidey in Brooklyn tagged n all theres def loyalty and in New York thats huge so the show will do well but it won't be good its just gonna be another experience for comicbook fans to enjoy seeing there lovable iconic characters actually come to life and that i can dig

@Joseph Commiso - Are you from the future? Have you gotten a chance to see this yet? How do you know it'll be a failure? And congratulations on making yourself look like a giant tool for picking on someone just because they wanna see a musical that looks promising. The choreography and stage pieces look amazing. The stunts look breathtaking. And the music sounds great too. How can anyone still piss on this? Oh right... Because the word musical automatically registers with the average fanboy as "gayyy."

haha @indoraptor i'm not picking on anyone and i'm an actor and have performed in musicals what i'm saying is that when someone makes a comments like "wow now i might see one" thats the fanboy just cause its a comic. There has not been a musical ever that took this long to create with no reason other then problems. preparation is a whole other story. if you've heard the leads band that is performing in the musical they suck they are horrible and i saw a rehearsal and the kid plays the most feminine spidey ever i just don't wanna see a comic i love turn into a joke because the broadway pigs wanna ride the comicbook bandwagon and yes i'm from the future doc brown was my uncle left me his car inforaptor12.... (heavy breathing) i am (heavy breathing) your father

@Joseph Commisson - I'm an actor as well and have been in a few recreations of Broadway shows. I think this looks way better than what people are giving it credit for. I say this becomes a huge hit. Better than that "Batman Live" that's gonna be aimed mainly at little kids. The reason this musical is taking so long to make is because it ran into financial problems a long time ago. I've heard that this is supposed to be the most expensive musical ever made. And keep in mind that this musical is unlike anything that's been done before. If this musical didn't take a long time to make, and instead was whipped up in no time, I'd be very, very worried.
