The debate continues when it comes to who Sadie Sink is playing in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, but a new set video reveals a potentially major spoiler for her role in the movie.
As you can see below, Sink's character is being wheeled into a black van on a gurney. She doesn't appear to be moving, and we've heard from those who watched these scenes being shot that the people taking her are the Department of Damage Control.
The implication is that she's someone with superpowers, as we know the DODC has taken a special interest in young superhumans following the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home and Ms. Marvel.
There's a chance Sink's character is even dead in these scenes, as that does look like the type of van you might place a body in. Rumours have pointed to the Stranger Things star playing everyone from Jean Grey to Rachel Cole-Alves and a shapeshifter like Shathra or Menace, so your guess is still as good as ours when it comes to who she might be.
How do we know that's Sink when the video's quality is "meh," at best? Well, the clothing of the person on the gurney matches what we saw the actress wearing a few days ago, and those on set have also claimed it was her.
Sink is bound to be bombarded by Spidey questions while promoting the fifth and final season of Stranger Things later this year. It was back in March when she first broke her silence on the Marvel Girl claims.
"This is news to me. No, I have nothing to say about this. The rumors are really cool though," Sink said. "It's an awesome rumor. Yeah, I know the character. It's a great character, so it was cool to read. I think that's super exciting."

Spider-Man: Brand New Day shares a title with a divisive era of storytelling, which, thanks to a deal with Mephisto, saw the wall-crawler get a fresh start when his marriage to Mary Jane Watson ended and his identity became secret again. He faced many new sinister foes during that time and was surrounded by an overhauled supporting cast, including Mister Negative, Jackpot, Menace, and Carlie Cooper.
In the MCU, all signs point to Spidey teaming up with (and at some point fighting) The Punisher to take on a Savage Hulk, with The Scorpion thrown in for good measure.
Several other villains are reportedly set to appear in the movie, including Tombstone, Tarantula, Boomerang, and Ramrod. There's also been some chatter online about the Venom Symbiote factoring into the story, potentially setting the stage for Mac Gargan to eventually don the alien costume.
Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings helmer Destin Daniel Cretton directs Spider-Man: Brand New Day from a script by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers.
Tom Holland plays Spider-Man in a cast that also includes Jon Bernthal (The Punisher), Mark Ruffalo (The Hulk), Zendaya (MJ), Sadie Sink, Michael Mando (The Scorpion), Tramell Tillman, Marvin Jones III (Tombstone), Jacob Batalon (Ned Leeds), and Liza Colón-Zayas. Thunderbolts* star Florence Pugh is expected to return as Yelena Belova.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day will be released in theaters on July 31, 2026.
