Stan Lee Talks THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN And Competition With THE DARK KNIGHT RISES.

While talking about The London Super Comic Convention Stan Lee was asked about The Amazing Spider-Man and talked a little bit about having The Dark Knight Rises as competition.

Stan Lee is gearing up for The London Super Comic Con and while talking with TNT Magazine He talked a little bit about The Amazing Spider-Man. He was asked what he thought of British actors playing the American characters that he created in Spider-Man and The Lizard saying, "I love British actors. I wish I were British. When British people talk it sounds more impressive than when Americans talk." He also addressed the concern of Andrew Garfield taking over for Toby Maguire as Spider-Man, "Everybody was worried about Garfield. How could he replace Maguire? But he brings a whole new feeling to it, the way Parker ought to be but with a different take on it. From what I have seen, the public will love it," assured Lee.

One of the most anticipated story lines this year will be how The Avengers and The Amazing Spider-Man stack up against Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight Rises. Lee seems not to be worried about it as much as other fan boys though saying that when you release a movie you go up against a lot of good movies. He also said that Batman is "Damn good" but is darker then what they are going for at Marvel Studios.

Be sure to see how it all shakes out at the box office this year and check out The Avengers on May 4th, The Amazing Spider-Man on July 4th, and The Dark Knight Rises on July 22nd.

I think one thing to remember, whatever side you're on, that yes Nolan's movies are good (albiet some think overrated) but we all have a preference, for example I like Marvel movies more.

stan is the man, there's no doubt - i don't think i've ever really heard him try to say one side is better than another which, for a guy who likes both like me, is pretty awesome

i hope this movie kicks some serious ass tho - loved the first two spider-man movies but thought they could have amped up some of the comic book elements a whole lot more with some of the more colorful villains from spidey's rogues gallery

@MovieMaster I feel fine. Honestly, I don't understand the whole fuss. Why can't all CBMs be good.Seriously, I'm looking forward to The Avengers, The Dark Knight Rises, and The Amazing Spider-man, all of which I believe are in good hands.

batman films are good well apart from batman forever & batman & robin.

but i prefer spidey to batman,so spidey still comes out on top for me.

absolutely love stan but he is so damn predictable. "i love it" "i cant wait" "he is great" . he never really gives an opinion for the most part.

The avengers vs TDKR is not fair avengers is a team CBM it should compete with X:FC which was a GREAT film... Spidey and TDKR are a good match up, movies about orphaned men who become heroes and are looking for themselves on the inside and find a symbol that is almost impossible to live up to.

Studios are in competition, WE shouldn't be as fans. It's so damn silly. If TAMS, TDKR and The Avengers are all as good as they look we all win, nobody should want a CBM to fail.

The whole 'Nolanite' vs 'Marvelite' is completely stupid garbage. Anyone who gets caught up in that needs to grow the hell up. You can prefer one over the other or like both without being a little girl about it.

Exactly. We all know both will see the other's films anyway. I read more DC but I'm still going to be watching Spiderman and the Avengers. A good story is a good story. If the films are crap, then it won't matter who made them.

Proud Marvel Zombie right here. But guess what...I love CBMs regardless of what publishing company the source material comes from. Hell, I'll even admit that as much as I loved Iron Man 1 after I saw The Dark Knight, I even had to swallow my pride and admit that it was a better movie.

But again, I don't care which CMBs will be better this 2012 because I hope all of them are great. The better they do the more they'll make them!
