The Amazing Spider-Man is the story of Peter Parker (Garfield), an outcast high schooler who was abandoned by his parents as a boy, leaving him to be raised by his Uncle Ben (Sheen) and Aunt May (Field). Like most teenagers, Peter is trying to figure out who he is and how he got to be the person he is today. Peter is also finding his way with his first high school crush, Gwen Stacy (Stone), and together, they struggle with love, commitment, and secrets. As Peter discovers a mysterious briefcase that belonged to his father, he begins a quest to understand his parents' disappearance - leading him directly to Oscorp and the lab of Dr Curt Connors (Ifans), his father's former partner. As Spider-Man is set on a collision course with Connors' alter-ego, The Lizard, Peter will make life-altering choices to use his powers and shape his destiny to become a hero.

Starring Andrew Garfield, Rhys Ifans, Emma Stone, Denis Leary, Sally Field and Martin Sheen, The Amazing Spider-Man is now in theatres.

Cool. It's amazing what technology and CGI has become over the many years. We've achieved quite a lot thru those years. :)

The funny part was that he just fought and swam through a sewer, then he goes to see Gwen smelling like a sewer and she's all over him!! Lol that's true love right there!

So far many people I hear talk about this movie agree the fight scenes were way too short.
There are worse flaws in this movie but I superhero movies need to deliver the super combat!

I like the film but I also like the original Spider-Man movies & it cannot be said those films had short / weak fight scenes.
Especially the second one when Spidey vs. Doc Ock started battling it out on the side of a building & kept fighting on a train for a good long while.

Saw the movie on Friday night with the family and though there were short comings we thoroughly enjoyed The Amazing Spiderman. Andrew and Emma were so good in their roles and the visual experience was great. Marc Wbb take a bow. Can't wait to own my own copy!

At the end of the day Spiderman and Spiderman 2 had flaws and [frick]ed up the characters, while this one had flaws and got the character perfect so they didnt matter as much.

The behind the scenes videos of this movie, so far, have shown nothing but how impressive the process is. Give me more!

Yeah...that whole sewer battle, and the high school battle scenes, were purely crafted with CGI - who could've thought of it! They look very realistic. Brilliant, amazing...and any other suitable adjectives you can thrown in to here. I really can't describe how impressed I am.

Loved the fight sequence. lol Why didn't they talk about those small lizards crawling on the webs? That was just awful. I'm sorry, but that wasn't believable AT all.

This movie has to win best sfx, it's sfx is a lot more hidden and subtle than The Avengers. Except for The Lizard though, but I bet NO ONE had ANY idea that the entire hallway in the school fight scene was rendered and CG.
