When asked what was his most amazing experience he had while playing the character, that's what Andrew Garfield had to say:

"I can't talk about anything specific, I wanted to be Spider-Man since I was 3, so I get to pretend to be him now, and now I'm 30, and it's inappropriate, but it's still enjoyable and I'm kind of living out a 3 years old dream so every day is my favorite day."

About his preparation for the role both physically and also with his accent:

"Physically, well I used to be a gymnast back when I was a kid, I was able to do back flips and tumbles and all that kind of stuff, so that was very early preparation and I started I guess preparing when I was 3 or 4 years old climbing door frames and attempting to you know, you know... be Spider-Man in my living room, be Spider-Man in my bedroom, be Spider-Man at a tree, but more recently I did have to go to the gym a lot, I had to get 3% of body fat and I hated it, but I've appreciated the results.

In terms of the accent, my dad is American, I am-- I was born in America, so I kind of had the accent in my ear my whole life, so I've had a little bit of a cheat, but I had a great dialect coach, called Liz Himelstein who assisted me tremendously, so yeah".

About what would make Spider-Man quit saving the World:

"I don't know if it's possible, unless if he's somehow stripped of his power, because he is such a neurotic, and he has such an overdeveloped sense of responsibility, he knows the power that he possesses, he knows what he is able to do, so if anyone is in trouble, if a cat is in trouble, he has to save the cat, like he cares too much about everything and he feels pressured to be more than he is. So I think that it'd take his powers been stripped away, otherwise he is kind of destined to be eternally saving cats from trees. Even if they are happy at the tree, he'd probably bring them down, so they could climb back up.

Official Synopsis:
"We've always known that Spider-Man's most important battle has been within himself: the struggle between the ordinary obligations of Peter Parker and the extraordinary responsibilities of Spider-Man. But in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Peter Parker finds that a greater conflict lies ahead.

It's great to be Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield). For Peter Parker, there's no feeling quite like swinging between skyscrapers, embracing being the hero, and spending time with Gwen (Emma Stone). But being Spider-Man comes at a price: only Spider-Man can protect his fellow New Yorkers from the formidable villains that threaten the city. With the emergence of Electro (Jamie Foxx), Peter must confront a foe far more powerful than he. And as his old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, Peter comes to realize that all of his enemies have one thing in common: OsCorp."
