Will Smith Hoping To Reprise The Role Of Deadshot In Margot Robbie's GOTHAM CITY SIRENS

We recently learned that Suicide Squad director David Ayer is taking the helm of Gotham City Sirens starring Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, but will we see her reunite with Will Smith's Deadshot?

Is Deadshot going to return to Gotham City? If Will Smith gets his way, then yes, as the actor has expressed an interest in reprising the role of Floyd Lawton in David Ayer's Gotham City Sirens. The female led movie will put the spotlight on Harley Quinn and a number of other fan-favourite villains (Poison Ivy and Catwoman are likely), but that doesn't mean some other familiar faces won't show up!

Harley and Deadshot struck up quite the friendship in Suicide Squad, so the two of them could cross paths again, especially as Warner Bros. is reportedly considering giving the villain his own movie.

"I’d definitely love to be in it," Smith says in the video below. "I love Margot Robbie. I will do, like, anything she wants to do. That didn’t come out, but… it probably did. It probably came out exactly how I meant it." Would you like to see Deadshot in Gotham City Sirens? If so, what role do you think he should play? As always, let us know your thoughts on that and more in the comments section.

@SuperCat - Kind of makes me wonder if WB is planning to use Will Smith/Deadshot as the "link" for the DCEU the way Iron Man is for the MCU.

@SonOfAGif - Looks like it. If so, this could backfire. I like him as Deadshot but Will can be annoying at times. I'm ok with him appearing but it should be a brief cameo.

@SuperCat - I am not cool with a "villain" being the focal point of a shared universe that has Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman.

It's like if Loki ended up with a solo film, has a cameo in Doctor Strange, appears in Ant-Man, and so on. It would sort of take the attention away from the primary heroes.

@SonOfAGif - What if the movie were Loki, Magneto, and Red Skull teaming up?

@WonderDog - Villains shouldn't have solo films. The conflict is between hero and villain. Trying to do a villain solo only makes the villain the 'protagonist' and that takes away from what made them a villain in the first place.

One thing I was afraid Suicide Squad would do was make the villains into superheroes but luckily, I can still see all of them finding themselves on the wrong side of the law again. Harley is with the Joker and based on the fantasy Deadshot has, he still hates Batman and wants him dead. Can easily see the same with Boomerang and croc.

I actually really liked as Deadshot. He was one of the most likable and sympathetic characters in the DCEU.
