3 Small "Smallville" misses we may have overlooked in Man Of Steel. (Pun Intended)

We all know about all the big Easter Eggs like Luthor Corp. logos all over, and the Wayne Ent. logo on the satellite, down to the smaller details like the Air Force Major Ferris, and even "Sullivans" the Body Shop young Clark is picked on in front of. A little throw back to Chloe Sullivan from the show "Smallville".

But recently I watched all 10 seasons of Smallville and just completed them the other night, so I decided to come back and watch Man of Steel again, and saw a few things I didn't notice before. Maybe we all have seen these before, but I have never seen them listed on any site in anyway yet, so I apologize if this is nothing new to you.

So here goes:

- Guy who played Dr. Emil Hamilton on the Smallville show was the TSgt. In the AF studying the ship in the arctic with the new Dr. Hamilton.

- Guy who played Bad Lex Clone on Smallville show is the alien on ship who takes Supermans blood while strapped down.

- Superman fight scene with Faora and other alien in Smallville street, you can see a sign for “Buds” in the background, which is a place Jonathon Kent used to "hang out" at as mentioned in other Superman material, including the show Smallville.

Not the biggest things in the world, but just thought I would throw them out there as some additional throwbacks to the show.

Where was the pun?

Why are you telling us things a lot of us already knew?

Why is this news?

Why are you writing articles?

Is it just me of was Green Lanterns symbol in the sand when Superman and Lois surrender to Zod?

@Blanka1212 As I stated I have never seen these tidbits posted out of the 2 millions hidden items posted on Man of Steel, I apologized if you knew about them, but as we can see some others didn't. If I even showed something new to 1 person, my job was done. If you don't like it you didn't have to comment... pretty easy concept.

@Billnye69 I Thought there some kind of symbols in the back also, couldn't figure out what they were though.
Nice idea, could be.

@Batception I forgot about that one also, nice catch.
I am sure there are a ton more, these were the ones that just caught my eye as I was watching that just stood out to me. Thanks

While on the subject, I see you pointed out the Chloe Sullivan reference. Don't we see Chloe in the movie, or at least hear her referred to. I don't know if they say her name, but I do remember hearing the "Sullivan girl" after Clark saves the bus.

HansonJJ - 12/30/2013, 11:56 AM
@MagnusRex22 I know Lana Lang was dominant in that scene along with Pete Ross, I just watched it over again after you said that and I didn't hear the Sullivan name come up, but it may have somewhere else possibly. But Pete's mom did say another name referring to a buy character but I couldn't make out what the name was completely.

@Crashrendar Again, these are just tidbits that were neat to see of things from the Smallville world brought to the Man of Steel movie, I guess I don't understand your hate? Isn't this site for Comic fans? Don't like it... move along, not hard...

I thought it was quite cool how they got other actors involved in the superman lore to be a part of this movie

Nice work on catching those. I didn't even consider the Sullivan's building as having anything to do with Superman

When Clark is pulled out of the pickup truck by the bully from school, his father is shopping for parts at "Sullivan's"

Amy Adams could have easily been a brunette Lois Lane... I don't understand why on earth they kept her red head.... she looks way better as a brunette:

She's a redhead, because Lois has traditionally been a redhead, in the comics of recent decades, though she did start out with black hair.
That kid that was referred to was Whitney Fordman, also from the Smallvile show.
A bigger reference to the Smallville show would be that some of the Kryptonians were played by actors that also played Kryptonian prisoners of the Phantom Zone, in Smallville.
I missed the Buds easter egg.
This is news and it is bonafide and if Blanka1212 is going to shit all over this article after reading HansonJJ's disclaimers, then he/she should be ashamed of themselves and go and sit in a corner for a half a minute, thinking about what he/she has done.

@HansonJJ Great find! [frick] the haters! They always have to bitch and complain, about anything man of steel related! It's so LMFAO hilarious!

What exactly have I done? Did I f**k his mother and not call her again? "What I've done". Jesus. Drama queen much?

And I missed this gem:

"They always have to bitch and complain about anything Man of Steel related".

No one here was bitching about the movie. As a matter of fact, it is probably one of my favorite superhero movies to date.

What the logical majority of us hate is people who come to this site trying to up their article count for some stupid reason with inane shit about things people already know. Look at PeterParker's articles, for example. And entire article of superhero villains. That's it. And then we're going to put it in the news.

KryptonSite had all of these and a bunch more in a list the week of the film's release.

First off, I never posted "Oh My God, look what I found, I'm so great, because I found this", I just said, Hey heres a few extra things we may not have noticed before, so chill out.

Second, out of all the posters on the article, only a couple said they knew about them, so to others it was news, and thats all that matters.

I've been sitting in the desert for months now and have to read more about movies and shows then I actually get to watch them, so sorry I don't have as much time on my hands to know everything you know from the internet, hating me for it is the only logical answer I guess...
All I know if when I get home, I'm going to have a lot of things to catch up on...
