In the pantheon of superheroes, Superman is the most recognized and revered character of all time. Clark Kent/Kal-El (Henry Cavill) is a young twenty-something journalist who feels alienated by powers beyond his imagination. Transported years ago to Earth from Krypton, a highly advanced, distant planet, Clark struggles with the ultimate question 'Why am I here?' Shaped by the values of his adoptive parents Martha (Diane Lane) and Jonathan Kent (Kevin Costner), Clark discovers having extraordinary abilities means making difficult decisions. I'm really interested to see how this film will do. MARVEL Studios has really dominated thanks to the Iron Man films and The Avengers over the last few years with bringing some new faces to the cbm genre, as far as the general audience is concerned. I'm really hoping Man of Steel does great and is every bit as successful. WB/DC really need this be a hit imo

What I love about the marketing campaign for Man of Steel is that they are giving away half the movie. They hopefully are going keep most of the movie secret until people actually see it.

Nice banner. Just wanted to share this. I went to see IM3 this weekend and one of the trailers they previewed was MOS! Here's the good part, it was a matinée so the audience was of all ages. It was the short one minute trailer, when it came on the audience took notice and became very quiet even the young kids. When it was over you could hear the kids excitedly saying to there parents, dad, mom it's Superman! A lot of that audience was very excited and it bought goosebumps to me and took me back to when I was a kid and would get excited when I knew the Adventures of Superman was coming on. The anticipation and excitement is there for MOS, hopefully WB will deliver. I think MOS will.
