Ashton Kutcher On His Superman Audition!

Ashton Kutcher On His Superman Audition!

The actor talks more about donning the Superman suit in an audition for the role a few years back and reveals what other hero he'd like to play...

"I wore the Superman suit," the actor told MTV News. "I did a screentest in the Superman suit. There is footage of my audition out there, with Keri Russell, who was reading Lois Lane. There's me in a Clark Kent outfit, and then there's me in a Superman outfit."

"It did not feel right," he admitted. "I hadn't worked out or done anything right...I was like a rail with fake muscles. It looked funny."

"I don't think I could be a superhero that was in tights. I could play He-Man. Given the time to get myself in shape, I could play He-Man. By the power of Grayskull, I have the power!"

JoshW: Well, I'm not sure about you guys but I cant stand this idiot! God knows who thought it was a good idea to let him try out for the role of Superman but that's Hollywood for you I guess! Have your say about Kutcher playing the Man Of Steel in the usual place!

GAH! Not He-Man! I care about that property! I mean, I appreciate that he's apparently a fan, but I don't see that working out.

He's a truly appalling actor. But, kind of seems like an ok bloke. You have to admit, some of his Punks were funny!

I liked the idea of Shia Labeouf as Yorick! I'm sure people hate that suggestion, but it is what it is.

@ canadianturd

He would have done well... I also think they could pull it off. I thought Ashton's thin body and goofy personality would work. The same with Topher.... You mos def need someone that would look like a woman when covered up like Yorick....

MTL, thats performance in Butterfly Effect was one of the most embarrassing things I have ever seen. I watched it through my fingers for sheer cringe factor. I actually thought he may look at the camera at some point.

He comes across as a decent enough guy but seeing him act is an excruciating experience, lol! Punk'd was a pretty fun show though - I'd be alright with him going back to doing something like that! As for Superman or any other comic book character...NO. :P
