On MAN OF STEEL 2:
“Of course I’m open to it, very much open to it, but I have no idea what plans are for that. I’m not privy to that kind of information. I think it would be a lot of fun to explore the character further and a continuing journey, but I know nothing about those plans so far.”

On JUSTICE LEAGUE:
“You know what, there’s so much talk about it constantly. Everyone’s talking about if Justice League will happen. None of it has ever been official speak. It’s always been what if, and if we were to do, how would we do it? It’s always just been brainstorming and fun ideas as opposed to genuine thoughts. Certainly when it comes to me, because if there is genuine thought about it, it’s probable behind very locked doors.”

Man of Steel follows the Last Son of Krypton on his epic journey to become mankind's shinning beacon of hope for a brighter future. With the beliefs and values instilled by his adoptive parents Jonathan (Kevin Costner) and Martha (Diane Lane) Kent, a young Clark (Henry Cavill) sets out to find his place in the world. But when the nefarious General Zodd (Michael Shannon) arrives on Earth, Clark will have to choose between being a normal human or Kal-el,son of Jor-El (Russell Crowe) and humanity's greatest protector and champion. Filmed in IMAX and shot in Vancouver, Chicago and Plano, Illinois, Man of Steel will be released on June 14, 2013 by Warner Bros. Directed by Zack Snyder (300, Watchmen) with a screenplay by David S. Goyer (The Dark Knight) the Christopher Nolan (Batman Begins, Inception) produced feature film will surely be the summer blockbuster of 2013.

If they want to save money and get the ball rolling, I had the idea of taking a page from DC animation and Marvel movies;
In the fashion of a DC animated short but more of an origin short or even just a short adventure, featuring members of the primary future cast for the planned Justice Leauge film after the credits of all of DC's forthcoming CBM's?
Have them be live action and reach out to great directors like marvel has.

Geez that don't say a lot :P

Lets be honest...

If they make separate movies that flop, we may never see JL, so just make it already, Batman, Superman, WW are 3 core members even ppl's Grannies know worldwide!

With the success of AVENGERS, just need a magical script and BAM!

@WhyDoWeFall
I like that..short film lasting 5-10 min. perhaps,just a tease.
Intro new character,better than a end credit scene.
Good idea that's not copying Marvel Studios really.

Like the idea of a World's finest first though or even World's finest turned Trinity at the end with a Wonder Woman appearance?

Leading into a JUSTICE LEAGUE movie!

@FreakingIntelligentRobertGriffin people in general are not that familiar with The Flash, Aquaman as much as Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman to a lesser extent. That's like saying everyone was familiar with all the Marvel characters long ago because they had video game(Marvel Vs. Capcom for ex.)

DoubleD @ If you have read a JL comic, you'd know why Batman is essential and one of the core members of the team dude :p

Fact is, Batman is the most intelligent character in the DC universe and would use his brains do defeat the JL. Brain over brawn. Even without it, he is at the peak of human strength, reflexes, agility, speed, and endurance.

On subject, I think World's Finest should be the way to go but I would still like to see solo superman films in the future.

It's better to introduce Justice League next. If Justice League is great, the success of Justice League will give off to a Batman reboot, Man of Steel sequel, Flash film, Green Lantern reboot, Wonder Woman movie, World's Finest, Trinity.

Justice League opens the door for everything.

@ATruehero1987

The vast majority of people who saw The Avengers never saw Thor or Captain America The First Avenger based on their BO verse the team up. Sure,a lot of people likely rented those films to cram for the Avengers but I think most of those casual fans showed up having only seen the Ironman films.

People showing up for Justice League will have seen Superman and Batman films already and know this is the first time they have met on film.Thats enough.
No body needs to have seen an Aquaman or Flash film to enjoy Justice League.

Superman can fly faster than Green Lantern but Green Lantern can probably get there faster by opening a wormhole.

Flash is faster than Superman in a foot race:

Justice League won't open all the doors if it fails..just saying..you know WB would take years to give the other members a shot if it didn't do well so I don't think it's good to put all the cards on the table like that. Say if Avengers failed..you would still have the solo movies to fall back on so DC/WB needs something like that...I would prefer to see a worlds finest movie and since WB seem unwilling to do anything but Batman and Superman..it seems the most likey..

I do wanna see JL, but personally, I would rather see a MOS trilogy, Batman reboot, GL reboot, Flash, WW, and Aquaman movies, and THEN do JL. That way your universe has been fleshed out a lot more.

Why does everybody want JUSTICE LEAGUE right away? Let's get some badass standalone movies first. I'm hoping to see Goyer's take on the Flash.

Hell Yeah. DC has such aweseome characters and hero's and villians.

There is a lot of ways to approach it but get passionate people invovled.

There really could print there own money with this. It seems like there are realizing this.

Do the opposite of Marvel make Justice league, maturer, embrace the weirdness and stylize the fu.ck out of it. MOS will show them the way I'm sure

@FIRG you're the only dumb because you don't get what I'm saying.

All I'm saying is that say for example Aquaman. People may recognize him if you show a pic of him and that he can talk to marine animals. Do they know his origin and some of his other supporting characters. Things like that, that's what I'm getting at.

I would like to see WB/DC do a 3-part epic trilogy like they did for LOTR or like Lucas did for Star Wars. They weren't origin stories, however, their origins were fleshed out throughout the movies. Jump in with both feet, just be certain you've put in the necessary work. After all , it's a massive undertaking. BUT they did it with LOTR and SW. And their characters were almost completely unknown. Imagine what can be done with the largest and most successful comic library in the world!

I'm saying that again & again!!

Geoff Johan's (of DC) has said that in an interview with Steve of Collider that every plan & announcement will Happen at COMIC-CON this year!
Justice League, Worlds Finest or BATMAN vs SUPERMAN whatever!
Every plan (if they have any) will be announced at CON!

That'll be a month after MOS opens & will give WB enough time to plan out everything once MOS is a monstrous hit (& it will be)!!

& that thing was said by WB President Jeff Robinov a month ago that we'll see announcements regading JL in a few months!!

Just wait & see!
It's gona HAPPEN!
I'm 200% sure!

We are losing our shit on seeing WAYNE symbol in MOS! Guess how mindfvcked we all will be to see SUPES & BATS standing next to each other!
Avengers will go back to SHIELD HQ & will find out the Power (in every way possible) of THE BATMAN & the mother-fvcker SUPERMAN!!!
Hell YEA!!!

Let Superman have his Trilogy first! If not in the third film, Bring in Batman towards the end to set up World's Finest. Then we can get the Ball rolling in that film. Have references of WW, Flash, Martian Manhunter, And Gl. First we need this CBM then focus on JL.

They need to just find a good script, make a good movie and bam that's it. They don't need to come out with individual character movies first. If they make a good movie people will go see it, point blank period. Who cares if certain characters are well known. Iron man wasn't well known and his first movie rocked. Why because it was a good movie and people talked and they said it was a good movie. End result it made a lot of money and here the character is today. If its good people will go and see it. They can build off of that momentum and make individual character movies. I don't know what Warner Bros is scared of. Everyone knows the Justice League. The super friends, the other Justice League TV series that has a cult following. I mean come on, even if Supes and Bats carried the whole film it would rock.

I think the main concern should be the rationale behind it. Why do Batman and Superman have to form an alliance? Why should the Justice League be formed in the first place? The rationale must be clear enough so the reason for the alliance, even without introducing the characters in separate films first.

Batman movies used the concept of fear. Green Lantern the power of will and Man of Steel the pursuit of hope. What will the films for Wonder Woman and the Flash show this time? It would make better sense if a unified theme is present, and then the Justice League and World Finest would become a natural order of things.

So focus on the theme, the need to be united, the need for the League to form. That is what the screen writers and story tellers at WB/DC should do now.

@Aztec - nice poster

@Intruder and DD, you guys come on here with nothing but bad feelings and hate for Superman and DC. You should be happy for more good cbm's no matter which company they come from. A great cbm for the King and granddaddy of all superheroes will benefit all comic characters and fans. Nuff said!
