The actor, who has been rumoured to be a frontrunner in the search for a new Clark Kent, was full of praise for the Watchmen director and once again was fast to point out that Superman is a character he'd very much like the chance to portray on the big screen.
"He's an unbelievable director, I'm a huge fan of 300. [It] would be up to them - but I'd be honoured."
Before getting too excited about the possibility of him donning the shield and cape come 2012, it's worth nothing that the actor has already stated that he is not negotiating for the role as some have previously suggested.
