In the pantheon of superheroes, Superman is the most recognized and revered character of all time. Clark Kent/Kal-El (Henry Cavill) is a young twentysomething journalist who feels alienated by powers beyond anyone’s imagination. Transported to Earth years ago from Krypton, an advanced alien planet, Clark struggles with the ultimate question – Why am I here? Shaped by the values of his adoptive parents Martha (Diane Lane) and Jonathan Kent (Kevin Costner), Clark soon discovers that having super abilities means making very difficult decisions. But when the world needs stability the most, it comes under attack. Will his abilities be used to maintain peace or ultimately used to divide and conquer? Clark must become the hero known as “Superman,” not only to shine as the world’s last beacon of hope but to protect the ones he loves.

Starring Henry Cavill, Michael Shannon, Amy Adams, Russell Crowe, Laurence Fishburne, Kevin Costner and Ayelet Zorer, Man of Steel is set to hit theatres on June 14, 2013.

@MARVELPSYCHO79 - Trust me, you haven't seen nothing yet. Besides, it's going to be max 10-15 minutes of footage (around 6 now) shown when all is said and done and the movie is 143 minutes (137 without credits). So yeah, you won't see the whole movie. And everyone who saw it confirmed already that there is more action in this than The Avengers so don't worry about having seen all the money shots. This film is huge in scale ;)

As someone who was lucky enough to see the film... Take it from me. NONE of my favorite parts from the movie are in any trailer or TV spot they have shown. This is a rare occasion where the marketing department did a brilliant job of peaking everyone's interest without giving away anything that made this film so special.

I think they are gonna move on with a World's Finest movie after a MoS sequel, Batman needs some help

But a Flash movie would be so awesome I would probably run through the streets like a madman butt-naked if it was ever announced.

@MCGee There are a lot of Marvel fans who still appreciate DC, not just @DestroyTrolls. You shouldn't lump all Marvel fans as haters.
