MAN OF STEEL: Pics of Zack Snyder on Set

MAN OF STEEL: Pics of Zack Snyder on Set

In addition to Amy Adams, Man of Steel director Zack Snyder has been spotted on the Plano, Illionis location for the film. Wonder if this is a strange shoot for Snyder in that so much is being shot outdoors rather than on green screen in the studio as was the case with 300, Watchmen and Sucker Punch.

Two things. One, we have already seen Snyder on set.

Two, even if we hadn't this still wouldn't be news because he's THE [frick]ING DIRECTOR OF THE MOVIE AND WE ALL KNOW WHAT HE LOOKS LIKE.

If it wasnt for slo mo, Smallville would have had hardly no special fx.

And if someone gets a picture of a cast or crew member eating a Tuna sandwhich please post it asap!!! Because that is news!!

Lastly why does he have the mark of the beast on thr back of his right arm?

Question...if they are currently filming and we all know these days filming takes about 6-8 months...and post production takes about 6-8 months...

WHY THE HELL ARE WE BEING MADE TO WAIT TILL JUNE 2013 FOR THIS!!!

@supersomthing-My guess is so that when Nolan is done with TDKR he can have time to look over Snyder's shoulder.

@demonhunter15 - hey dickhead do you remember that Brett Ratner directed X-Men 3. The movie that made the x-men franchise lose most of it's crediblity?!?!? Oh and don't forget "Dukes of Hazard"!!!

Ok you my not be a dickhead so I apologize in advanced...but why make statement without any weight to them?

@knight3000.....were you trying to get a feel for what Superman would look like flying around to different music? heheheh GOSH i hope they KEEP THE ORIGINAL SOUNDTRACK....sure they might update it a bit...but i really hope they dont replace it with heavy metal.

I loved what John Ottman did with the original score that Williams gave Superman. Where SR failed....it certainly wasnt anything to do with the score that Ottman expounded upon.

The Music was nothing short of SUPER.

Actually, superman is almost a direct rip off of an earlier pulp character, I foret the name. Even the cover of action comics is a direct lift from. The character. We woouldnt see thievary that blatant until stan lee ripped off doom patrol some 30 yrs later

Superman was based on gladiator

I hope this movie is good. still not buying Synder, i wish WB can just wait for Nolan to direct.

here is a link to the character bio for "hugo daner," the central character from Gladiator. Superman creators denied ripping this off, but the overhwelming amount of similarities between the characters relatively close in time (and the fact that both had read the novel!) make the most simple and obvious explanation (i.e., the copied it directly) the best explanation.

For those criticizing the shots of Snyder being included here -- if a shot of a 7-11 or a farm house is appropriate, then so are a couple of shots of the director of the film on set.

naterator - 8/16/2011, 12:16 PM
@brewtownpsych....big deal.....apparently hugo danning wasnt original enough of an idea or he would be bigger than Superman right now.

Besides we already have hercules, Conan etc...

Glad we have Superman...and not HUGO DANNING.

@Ed Gross....you did well. thanks for the shots....although i was hoping Snyder had left the building,,,,,

brewtownpsych - 8/16/2011, 12:29 PM
just to put things in perspective when somebody talks about "creating" something. Hugo Danning's comparison to Hercules or whatever is much, much (1000x) thiner than the direct rip-off siegel and that other guy did. the fact that this is not more widely known is a shame to the legacy of Gladiators place in history. They just added a little science fiction and voila! the most well known super hero in history. just offering a little education man, it's not a judgment on anything.

@brewtownpsych...much appreciated.

I see your point...im just saying that im glad that we have what we have. I cannot imagine Dannings character along side Batman and Wonderwoman. DC would in effect be non existent. ALl we would have would be MARVEL...wait maybe not even Marvel since Marvel wasnt around when DC was concieved.

Well i still have high hopes that when we are able to see the suit in all its glory ...that the briefs will still be there. i think that they could go wither way simply because it IS really hard to tell if they are missing. you could say no....but then again you can see a smidge of red in there. So im going to continue to be overly optimistic on the briefs.
