MAN OF TOMORROW’s Mystery Female Hero, Believed To Be Wonder Woman, Rumored To Be Cast In The Next Month

Man of Tomorrow is reportedly looking for a mystery female character believed to be Wonder Woman, and according to a new rumor, she could be cast in the next month.

Man of Tomorrow is gearing up to start filming in April 2026. The movie is expected to open up the DCU in a significant way with its introduction of Brainiac, played by Lars Eidinger, whom David Corenswet's Superman and Nicholas Hoult's Lex Luthor will reluctantly team up against. The movie is also rumored to be introducing a mystery character, which could have big ramifications for DC Studios' nascent franchise. In November, Nexus Point News reported that the sequel was looking to cast a new female hero described as a "warrior" with a "strong physique." DC Studios was said to be looking for a tall actress in her late '20s.

The outlet believed the role to be that of Wonder Woman, who is slated to get her own DCU film, penned by Supergirl scribe Ana Nogueira. Despite the speculation, the character remains a mystery. If a new rumor is to be believed, however, there could be an announcement coming soon regarding the part. In a Q&A on X, Apocalyptic Horseman, from Nexus Point News, was asked if any Wonder Woman news would be available soon. The scooper brought up Man of Tomorrow's mystery character, stating he believed her to be Wonder Woman, and that an actress would be announced in the next month:

"If that female hero in Man of Tomorrow is her (and I feel like it is), we'll know who it is in the month or so."

The scooper later clarified that he meant the actress joining the project would be the one getting announced, and that he was unsure if the character would be revealed alongside the casting: "[I don't know] if they'll reveal the character, but I was referring to the actress."

Apocalyptic Horseman went on to add that he believed this mystery character to be the next casting in the DCU: "Assuming it's her in [Man of Tomorrow], that'll be the next casting, I bet."

Though the character is only believed to be Wonder Woman, the description shared by Nexus Point News is quite fitting for Diana Prince. It would also make sense to introduce her in a big blockbuster like Man of Tomorrow prior to her getting her own film, to potentially garner more audience interest in her on top of her already significant cultural status. That approach was taken by Marvel Studios for Spider-Man and Black Panther, who debuted in Captain America: Civil War and went on to headline very successful spinoffs, which ultimately became franchises.

Wonder Woman is one of DC's pillars, and it would be exciting to see her debut in Superman's sequel. A role as big as the hero will be difficult to keep under wraps, so perhaps we will have a better idea about whether or not she is, in fact, part of Man of Tomorrow once DC Studios finds an actress for the sequel's mysterious role.

As for the development status of her own film, Apocalyptic Horseman claimed it is still being written:

Man of Tomorrow will fly into theaters on July 9, 2027. Superman is available to stream on HBO Max.

What do you make of this reported new character in Man of Tomorrow? Do you think it could actually be Wonder Woman? Drop your thoughts in the comments!

I like the direction gunn is going in, I just need a couple more DC movies to really understand the direction. I believe Man of Tomorrow will be better than Superman.

Wait , there is a Deadman animated series being written?.

Also classic scooper behavior by first insinuating that it’s Wonder Woman only to later back track and say they only thought it was when it’s announced as someone else inevitably but we’ll see.

Like for all we know it could be someone like Vixen who is a new member of Lord’s team since they don’t specify what ethnicity this character is…

If it’s her then Jayme Lawson would be my pick!!.

BVS ripoff. But... but? Snyder introduced so many characters in one movie? Lol give me a break!

Reboot the MCU and DCU

@WalletsClosed - the very first thing Gunn did in Superman is establish that metahumans have been around for 300 years.
Snyder had them appear from almost nowhere.
With the right storytelling trick, you can do almost anything.

Bringing in Wonder Woman for this movie is just a bad idea all around. Doesn't the chick deserve to be introduced in her own film? Why are the woke feminists/#metoo brauds not b1tching about this?!

Seems like the director of Superman doesnt think the title character can carry a film on his own , very interesting

Almost like he should’ve just stuck to a certain team of superheroes with a specific sense of humor, almost like that will have been true if he didnt get caught up for the hilarious pedo tweets. That was a whole nexus event

Anyone know if "comic book movie guesses and possibly dot com" is taken? If so, I may buy it and just copy and paste the info from this site to there and call it a day.

This article is based on an educated guess.

Do better. For comics, for movies, for fans, and most importantly, for the LGTBQF@RT+++ community since I'm now an ally and they are the most important thing ever now.

This is kinda DC Studios worst kept secret isn't it?

I think yes it is Wonder Woman and yes we are probably gonna get an announcement for a Wonder Woman movie pretty soon with a pencilled-in release date of either Summer or Winter 2027.

Which will actually be released in cinemas on the day and date it is also dropped on Netflix.

So with the other news that they're looking to cast a big prominent male who might end up being the DCU Batman, this is basically just James Gunn doing a backdoor Justice League, no?

Or worse,....he's basically doing his version of "The Dawn of Justice" and Essentially the DCU is effectively replicating the path that Snyder's DCEU took.

A Superman movie, followed by a faux-sequel, which was in reality just a backdoor pre-Justice League movie (with more honest titling), and then I imagine "Superman 3" will be a full-on "James Gunn's Justice League" movie that will get re-titled as such at some point during production.

And his Gunn fans are eating it all up like tic-tacs not even seeing through the grift.
