The folks at Before The Trailer have received new images from the Illinois set of Zack Snyder's Superman reboot, Man Of Steel. Depicting wreckage from an apparent "tornado sequence" in the film, as well a damaged bank vault door, likely the same one used in the first official promo image, check them all out below.

Man Of Steel, under Zack Snyder's direction, stars Henry Cavill (Clark Kent), Amy Adams (Lois Lane), Diane Lane (Martha Kent), Kevin Costner (Jonathan Kent), Michael Shannon (General Zod), Antje Traue (Faora), Julia Ormond (Lara Lor-Van), Russell Crowe (Jor-El), Harry Lennix (General Swanwick), with Christopher Meloni (Colonel Hardy) and Laurence Fishburne (Perry White). And with story details currently underwraps, the reboot is slated for release on June 14, 2013.

Shit's gonna go down in the movie like you won't believe. I always thought Superman is the one lone Superhero that should have the most exciting and destructive action, just for his wide range of powers and abilities.

Dang!! There's gonna be so much destruction in this movie. I CAN'T WAIT!!!!

Hopefully the tornado scene won't take up too much of the overall film. I as well as many others have waited a very long time to see Superman finally go fist-to-fist with a worthy opponent.

This is Superman's LAST chance to prove that he can do more than just lift heavy objects.

He really does need to fight this time. Most fans have agreed- we want to see a physical Superman for once.

The tornado scene will be cool I'm sure but I didn't wait 4 years just to see "Superman vs. the Weather"

I wanna see Superman beating the living shit out of Zod. I want Superman to grab Zod by his neck and beat in his [frick]ing face.

We had 5 films of a boring guy in tights. Let's see this badass Superman REALLY be put to the test.

@JDUKE- Hahaha thanks bro. Yeah I love the classic Superman as you can tell and I didn't wanna be some "follower" and use Cavill's Superman as my avatar hahahaha.

Glad you and I are pretty close in our taste on Superman!

Oh and to people who don't like the suit- it's got more of an armor-feel to it. An armored Superman could only be a GOOD thing. It means that in THIS film, Superman won't be completely impervious to everything around him, it means Superman will actually GET HURT this time and he'll actually throw-down with someone.

That is exactly what fans have been chanting for so long to see and that's exactly what Snyder is giving us- an armored Superman who will beat the shit out of his opponents- no holding back this time.

@LP4 lol don't worry man I'm sure we'll see a major fight between him and Supes, oh and Faora. Probably his early years in Smallville, gotta start him off with a smaller challenge at the beginning of the movie before he takes on bosses like Zod.

@JDUKE- Hahaha I hope you're right bro. Because I remember seeing Superman take on a tornado in SupermanIII and boy that was corny...he turned the damn thing upside down...riiiight hahaha= LAME-O.

I hope this time in THIS film Superman battles the tornado in a more...sophistical way than what we beared witness to in SupermanIII lol

Let me put it this way- I wanna see Superman really [frick]ing shit up in this film. hahahaha

Now if only instead of Nolan...Snyder worked on this film with Jim Lee. Then oh boy we'd be in business!!!!

^_^

JDUKE25 - 8/11/2011, 9:59 PM
@LP4 haha I really doubt Snyder of all people will make something look as corny as that haha. I'm sure it'll be visually stunning to see the way they do this scene, and the movie for that matter.
JDUKE25
JDUKE25 - 8/11/2011, 10:03 PM
Probably be best if he didn't actually stop it but rather just save people. Do something more along the lines of the episodes of Smallville Season 1 Finale "Tempest" (saving lana in the tornado) and Season 4 finale "Commencement" (running around and saving that kid from the meteor). If he just chooses to fly and try and make the tornado go bye bye it'll look kinda cheesy. Be best to just try and save people from the destruction. IMO
JDUKE25
JDUKE25 - 8/11/2011, 10:04 PM
But I have no idea of how they're gonna go about this.
LP4
LP4 - 8/11/2011, 10:06 PM
@JDUKE- Agreed man, this movie really doesn't seem to have any sort of cheesiness to it. lol

I remember one interview Snyder even said how the donner films were overly stylish and were all about- "apple pies and chevrolets" and furthered his point that he won't make the Superman movie overtly stylish but will instead place Superman in our own real world post 9/11 and see what he does.

That sounds really [frick]ing cool.

And I agree with you man...Superman or Clark just saving people rather than getting rid of the tornado would make much more sense.
LP4
LP4 - 8/11/2011, 10:07 PM
btw JDUKE- I like your avatar too. Now THAT is a manly Superman. He looks manly but not Jim Lee type of manly/scary lol. He looks traditional but very tough.

Nice pic.
JULEZ13
JULEZ13 - 8/11/2011, 10:15 PM
@LP4: I recall Snyder saying that the will film only have about 15 minutes of Smallville, which means that this scenes will be over pretty quickly compared to a 2 hour movie, so no need to worry there! lol

@JDUKE25: You're right, I hope Snyder doesn't do the whole Reeve's thing and just try to stop chaos and focus more on saving people from getting hurt. I always pictured Superman being more people first, disasters second. So seeing that type of dynamic play out will be interesting to portray; it will almost be like a learning experience for the novice hero.

JDUKE25 - 8/11/2011, 10:24 PM
@JULEZ13 True. You usually always see Superman saving the people first and making sure they're ok and out of the way and then taking care of the disaster/villain after.

@LoganX35 Not that, we just wanna see some collateral damage when Superman is fighting Zod. Some ACTION

This

Not this....
JULEZ13
JULEZ13 - 8/11/2011, 10:43 PM
@JDUKE25: Yeah, and it also shows that he isn't completely confident that he will save everyone from the disaster unharmed. Him making sure people are safe and out of the way first will make him seem less cocky and conceded about his abilities. He should always keep in mind that something could go wrong at anytime, even if you are Superman!

wow...jackdex is saying he doesn't want mindless action..and yet for YEARS NOW, SOO many of you have said Superman returns needed more action, less story..make up your mind..you want real world stories, about mythical men with god like powers, facing real people, and emotions, and consequences?..or big mythical "michael bay" explosions and cgi,in 3d...make up your mind, its one or the other..i prefer the big named super heroes to have story over action,i.e. batman begins, had lots of story, less action, but great action when it happened..i want toy robot movies to have constant robots, and fire, and lasers,etc...and most of you have finally admitted that routh was indeed,a very good superman/kent..does anyone want another "batman and robin" fiasco with clooney? i think not...and to be honest, most of the CBMs recently made, are just fine, they put a guy/girl in a costume similar to the ones we see in the books, make em fight baddies, most of the time, ones we know from the source material, and then they face real world problems..some do this with dramatic heavy scenes, some with comedy, and some with loads of action..either way..its only "uber-fans" who sit,and over think, over judge, and imply that their beloved character is somehow tarnished forever,go back and read your book.and to be honest im amazed at how well some of these even work in movie format, our heroes do,and say ridiculous things, but for some reason, its like we are fine with this in the books, but not on film..that does NOT make sense..if your hero is alot of one liners in the book, guess what, hes gotta do that onscreen,to be true to the material,if they changed it ,you would all complain, but then yall gripe, when they DO use the one liners..can no one just be happy, that the last 13 years have seen SO MANY of our beloved heroes turned into to films? seriously, just take a second, and remember how cool blade part one was..they changed the story loads, but, not many of us here complained, cuz it was cool, good music, amazing fx,and action, and lots of story arcs.but we've forgotten how to be excited, and now we just nitpic..im done complaining, not that i did much anyway..captain america was awesome,period,xmen-great!,directors cut of daredevil, thomas jane playing the punisher, the demons and angels in constantine..we are supposed to be the people that keep this industry going, its what we love, comics turned into tangible visual-audio recreations..im glad ive been able to see the fx come so far from when i was a kid, people can fly,and shoot lasers from their eyes, and it looks awesome..casting directors pic actors who either look the part,or love the character soo much, look at momoa breaking his nose to get the conan role, nic cage going bankrupt to help fund his 2nd all time favorite comic, and thomas jane doing 6 days a week navy seal training for 5 hours a day..and look at hollywood saying-wow patrick stewart IS professor X..hugh jackman(an unknown at the time) is totally wolverine.. exhales ,i love comic book movies..side note--reboots are only cool if you leave a little time between them..this whole its been 2 years, lets reboot thing sucks.use new ideas/characters before going back and rewriting and reworking every old character.thats what i say.

@JDUKE- Nice point and good example with those pics you posted, sadly people will never get it. They think the Reeve films were action packed like a Michael Bay Transformers flick...

-_-

The reeve films had a bit of fighting but not much and the fights were sooo corny. The last Superman film in 2006 was boring as sin.

Hopefully we get some of that collateral damage we've wanted all wanted to see.

@JULEZ- Once again i find myself agreeing with you and JDUKE!

@JackDexx- This was never going to be a film with just mindless action. Nolan and Goyer wrote the screenplay, it's going to have a very deep/meaningful story. It is a film that has the goal of- making Superman more relevant in our modern world.

And yes it will have ACTION. Why the hell not? We've already had 5 really boring/cheesy Superman films. So why not make at least ONE movie where he gets into a really good fight?

I don't honestly understand why soooo many people on this site, prefer a Superman movie where absolutely NOTHING happens nor gets accomplished...yeah I'm looking at YOU- "Superman Returns"

;P

I've said this before and I'll [frick]ing say it again-

If Thor, Green Lantern, Iron Man, Captain America and Batman can all fight in their movies...then Superman can fight too- and he can fight HARDER.

He's Superman. The original superhero and the archetype that so many wish they could aspire to.

He isn't dark or modern...he's the original red and blue beacon of hope.

He's our Man of Steel...

@JULEZ and JDUKE- I feel like you guys are the only ones who can keep me calm on this site. lol. Seriously no one here understands me or my rants. Only you guys do.

But yeah thanks guys for the kind words and yeah the cast for this flick is definitely GRADE A JDUKE you got that right.

This film should hopefully become DC's newest defense against Marvel. Batman can't carry the torch on his own, he's gonna pass it off to Superman by 2013 ;D
