Yesterday, I asked you what you thought of Superman's new suit. Well, with over 1000 votes an counting, the debate continues to rage on, but here are the results of the poll included in that article. In just 24 hours, nearly 8500 of you cast your vote, and it seems the overwhelming verdict is that you all like the suit, despite the different material, longer cape and lack of red underpants! Personally, I think they've done a great job, although an even clearer shot (preferably in a daytime setting) would be even better! However, with its release date pushed back by six months, it may be a while before we see anything else from the highly anticipated Zack Snyder reboot!

I dont see how anyone could not like this, As a marvel reader, i am blown away by this. I actually see a superman who doesn't look like a whimp in tights. He looks awesome

Badass Superman? About time.

I actually think it looks pretty cool. I have a feeling he wont be having the undies out tho. Just a red belt. I like that the cape is so damn long, and I dont mind how the suit looks like a very thick, textury material.

I'm not complaining about colors YET only because brighter colors would have looked out of place in the tone of the pic.

Looks like Superman, but I never really liked Superman's look on film.

Given that this film comes out two years from now I really can't form any valid opinions.

But I think it looks like shit, just based off this. Probably still in development though.

I went with amazing. I like Cavill's Superman look more than Routh's for the very reason they're doing the movie, originality. Disconnecting themselves far away from the Donner films.

I love the long flowing cape (hope they put the yellow symbol on the back), the texture of the suit itself (kinda have a watchmen vibe of it), I want the curl in the hair (but I think this is a certain point in battle where it goes back), and its too dark to see but I bet they have the classic undies.

@Joshw....the article should not state as if it were fact that therea re no red shorts on him when in plain view it is undetectable...meaning its not clear...however if you give the pic a much brighter exposure then there are traces of red in the underpants area. I hope that they do not get rid of them if they hear that people think that they are in fact gone when it seems that they very well could be there still. see for yourself.

@the gdsuperguy....thats a sweet pic. I would love to see a Worlds Finest made and then branched into a JLA...and then have it go to the Death and Life of Superman and then have it go to Kingdom Coome......4 films or series of films done correctly could make the genre more epic than its ever been.

@helagood....have they shown us the catwoman costume yet? and FYI thanks for having my back a few days ago. Also i hope people can see from the pic in my above comment that the red shorts may appear to be missing in that lighting but in a brighter room coould reveal that they are still there....i think that they took that photo specifically to rouse the crowd on the subject of whether or not the shorts should be omitted or not. I hope they say. Fingers crossed here.

I know this is just a promo shot and the filming of the movie is about to begin, but I sure hope he doesnt keep that hair...that gelled up Jersey Shore style hair is what keeping me from liking this 100%.

yeah he somehow doesn't look like cavill to me, does look more imposing than routh so that's a plus.. i like that the suit has more texture and how the cape is attached to the suit.. we need a brighter pic though, i'd like to see how red that red is, didn't like the maroon on the returns suit..
