On Instagram this afternoon, James Gunn took to Instagram to show off his production wall, which included many shots of Jeph Loeb & Tim Stale's Superman. While posting this, someone commented on the picture, asking if it was true about the Middle East. He simply replied, "It isn't true."
Also on the post, someone asked when would we get the reveal of the Superman costume. James, unfortunately, added that we definitely wouldn't see the costume until after they've begun filming.
Another major piece of news from this select post on Instagram came from another user after they asked if we're going to be getting any more casting announcements. James took time to reply by offering "Well, we're running out of characters to announce but there will be a couple more soon."
Who do you expect to be the final characters announced for Legacy? I feel like Brainiac, Ma & Pa Kent, and perhaps Lois Lane's father General Lane will be the final four to be revealed. Brainiac & The Engineer being the lead villains for the DC movie will definitely be the way to go. It gives a unique and original take; nothing we have seen in Live Action before! I would say no more Lex Luthor for a long while either. But.. I wouldn't be surprised if Luthor is revealed by the end of the movie.
Not related to this Instagram post from James Gunn, but singer and actress Madison Beer recently revealed that she auditioned for the Superman movie "Superman: Legacy" but was unsuccessful. She commented that she had no idea who she was auditioning for, but many have predicted that it was either Mercy Graves or Teschmacher.
Superman Legacy is set to begin production this January, and while we won't really get to see much of promotional art (quite like we did in August 2011 with the reveal of Henry Cavill's Superman); we'll just have to wait it out a couple more weeks before we finally see David Corenswet don the red, blue and yellow suit!
Following the titular superhero as he reconciles his heritage with his human upbringing. He is the embodiment of truth, justice and the American way in a world that views kindness as old-fashioned.
David Corenswet stars as Superman, Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner, Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl, Anthony Carrigan as Rex Mason, Edi Gathegi as Mister Terrific, and Maria Gabriela de Faria as the Engineer.
