The CW network is ecstatic with the ratings for last night's Smallville episode, Absolute Justice. Here's what they had to say:

A 2-hr SMALLVILLE provided The CW with our best Friday night since Sept 2008 in all key categories, including adults 18-49 (1.2/4), men 18-49 (1.5/5), adults 18-34 (1.1/4), men 18-34 (1.3/5) and total viewers (2.8mil).

In terms of Smallville episodes, this is the highest rated Smallville of the season in total viewers, adults 18-49 (tie) and men 18-49.

Competitively, Smallville ranked #1 from 8-10pm in men 18-49.”

I hope that signals the CW to bring in more of Geoff Johns, more of DC Continuity in the show to bring in more audience.

It was alright, saw it on line today. Loved seeing the johns true form , but the action scenes were vary short. And the bad guy sucked.

I'm glad to hear it went over so well. I really enjoyed it. I'm hoping this means more 2hr. long specials with heros galore. Having Geoff Johns back on board wouldnt hurt either!

I would kill for that prop rod of Stargirl's. I could be the Jack Knight of my apartment building!

It was cool, i could've done without a couple of the ridiculous lines of dialog, but all-in-all......GOOD STUFF!

They really did have some great ideas, but i did find myself wishing they had a bigger budget......and i don't know why, but i just felt like they tried really hard to make it good. I will say this tho, i was thoroughly entertained for 2hrs!

And that's what it's all about, right?

I like Smallville and I've been watching since season one,but this 2hr movie wasnt that spectacular in my opinion. Let's face it the main character Clark Kent portrayed by Tom WElling is lacking. Welling only looks the part he's boring, performances are lackluster, and Im willing to bet after season 9 he still has no idea who Clark Kent\SUPERMAN IS. I know alot of people on here hate all the cameos, but they're needed....with LEX off the show there's only Hartley left on a weekly bases to carry the show.

So YES to more Superteams because with Clark's occasional burst of heat vision, lifting a heavy object from time to time, and his speedy exits and returns with papers flying etc is getting like WELLING himself....BORING.

Damm I thought it would do better than that, because of its hype. I thought it would get a 5.0 rating or higher.

If they feature the JSA again then it will be important to have the rest of the members make an appearance. I would lose my mind if they showed Alan Scott using the ring or Jay Garrick running faster than Clark. The only thing I would change about that episode is the killing of Sandman, Dr. Fate, and Star Spangled Kid, those guys should never die.
