OriginalPhysco - 3/20/2009, 12:24 PM
But he's grown as hell now, so he should be flying. It would just be perverted if he's still a no flying Superboy.

And yea Doomsday looks weak. But he will be huge as hell in season 9 because he defeated Clark.

This is a different promo. This was released on EW a couple of days ago, the promo shown last night was shorter.

As for the "No Flights. No Tights," that was a rule made up by Al & Miles. PS3 has stated pretty early on that they are sticking with the "No Tights" for now, as for the flights, that may may not apply anymore since Al & Miles aren't runnign the show anymore. I don't think they'll have him fly anytime soon, but they're sure as hell teasing it a lot.

The rest of the season looks promising. We get to see Zatanna, Clark vs. Doomsday, the Justice League, the Injustice League.. and a new set is being built.. Perhaps the hall of justice?

Lets hope he does fly this time and not being controled by something. I did hear that the new producers on the show hint that he might be flying permently sometime this season. When he was living in Smallville the past 6 hafe season he could run anywhere with out being seen.In interview Now that he's living in Metropolis its not easy for him to run around to save anyone because of how many people are in the city. here's the interview and whats been adress in Smallville season 8

I can understand WHY people rag on the show but it bothers me because it's the freshest, most ORIGINAL take on it. Consider they have a SMALL AS$ BUDGET to work with for starters, and plus the show has lasted longer than anyone ever imagined. Look at the pretentious crap that passed for the last Superman movie, it wasn't even FUN. Lighten up and don't take Smallville too seriously because it's supposed to be fun...btw, the new producers hinted at Clark flying this season, so who knows?

I really don't know if he will actually fly and it will stick. I mean he has flown before and he forgot how, and to be honest if they are gonna pull that shit I would rather just have them not do it at all. But this trailer looks quite promising. And you know I like Chloe but if she has to die to get Clark flying then F%@k it kill the biotch!

I don't care what the haters say, SMALLVILLE STILL ROCKS!!! There is no way for a tv show to stay true to the source material, it's much harder than it is for movies.

If you don't like it don't watch, but there is a reason it is the LONGEST RUNNING COMIC BOOK BASED TV-SERIES OF ALL TIME! (not counting madTV)

It def. wasn't in Turbulence as that episode was on last night, looking forward to it tho!

i FULLY AGREE with everything "talontd" said
it's really the ONLY "comic book" show out there..and it's awesome!!!(heroes doesnt count because the heroes comics didnt come out untill after the show)..so what they didnt get doomsday right no one ever gets comic book movies/tv showes right so why would this be different!!!..the show has other heroes showing up left and right..its great!!! good stories, good actors..thats all i need!

SMALLVILLE IS AWSOME, CLARK IS REALLY FLYING, ITS ABOUT GOSH DAM TIME..FOR SURE THERE WAS A RULE NO FLIGHTS NO TIGHTS BUT THAT WAS WHEN THE OLD WRITERS WERE ON BOARD, THINGS HAVE CHANGED,THE FANS SPEAK AND THE SHOW HAS TO ROLL WITH IT.I SEE HIM FLYING, THATS A GOOD THING, ITS BS THAT SUPERGIRL FLIES AND HE DIDNT,HE HAS TO FLY YOU CANT CALL HIM SUPERBOY ANYMORE, WELLING IS OLDER THAN ROUTH!HE NEEDS ALL HIS POWERS..MAYBE HE CANT WEAR THE TIGHTS BUT MAYBE YOU CAN HAVE HIM DRESS UP IN SOMETHING CLOSE FOR A HALLOWEEN EPISODE.

PETERPARKER420-

Thanx bro, f@ckin fanboy's i swear!

"It's not true to the source..."
"They took to many liberties..."
"It's teanie bopper...."
"No "true-fan" would like it..."
"Wah, Wah, Wah!!!..."

It's a TV show "based" on Superman, not his f@ckin BIOGRAPHY! And yea the show had alot of "teen drama"...when he was in HIGH SCHOOL! I dig the show because it's entertaining, it's been cool watching a character based on a comic character I love grow up, and because i'm a FAN of Superman.....not a FANBOY!

the idea of this show is awesome, but somewhere in its course, it being on the cw and revolving around teen drama made it fall through.

i like smallville, great show to me. i do want to see him fly though, shit if his cousin can fly he should be able to. the red blue blur thing has got to stop though. they need to give him some sort of costume to wear. not nessessarily tights but something swanky to make him look different from when he is in normal clothing. i think sunglasses like ollie queen and some sort of slick back hair would be tight, with a t-shirt and leather jacket, some blue jeans and timberland boots

You know what, i just watched that trailer and i was thinking...do you think it's within Zatana's powers to be to warp everyone's perception of Clark and he could start rockin the glasses?

I'm not too big on DC, but I know Zatana is crazy powerful.
peterparker420
peterparker420 - 3/20/2009, 9:43 PM
talontd..no problem..man zatanna is VERY powerfull

i just re-watched the trailer and saw clark mayby flying, green arrow is back, cloe says the "watchtower"is up and running, with pics of the justice league, i saw another girl in a black costume, could be huntress?
also there introducing
ZATANNA in the "smallville universe".
and doomsdays origin tale ALL IN ONE EPISODE!!!
and comicbook fans are complaining about the STORY!!!!
THE STORY IS GREAT!!!WITH ALL THE " ENDINGS THAT LEAVE YOU HANGING"AND KEPT ME COMING BACK AFTER EVERY SEASON..
they must watch the wrong show..
I MUST BE IN THE TWILIGHT ZONE!!

The no fly no tights wasn't Wellings stipulation, it was the original producers, Miller and Gough. THey are no longer doing the show so that means anything can happen, as we've seen. I think the most BS crap in the whole show was Lana with superpowers.
THEHAWK
THEHAWK - 3/20/2009, 10:57 PM
I post this over and over, here we go again.

WB will not allow Smallville to use the Superman costume, or flying anymore, because they have this tule that if they have a movie featuring Superman in it he is not allowed the flights or tights. I hope he does eventually, I hope WB gets their heads out of their collective asses and realize that it's time to give the fans what they want. Buut no this is so people don't get confused between the movie and tv shows.

Oh, and Batman has the Bat embargo that prohibits him, or any of his supporting characters from appearing in any media, if there is a Batman program or movie slated. SO no bats on Smallville. In fact Millar and Gough got in trouble during season 6 for mentioning Gotham City in an episode.

It's funny when "fans" get mad about Lana having super powers. Just because she didn't have red hair people can't make the connection to Matrix.

THEHAWK...thanks for filling us in on these facts. I had no idea that these were the reasons why certain crossovers and things never happen on Smallville. Good looking out! I still hope Clark takes flight more often.

The problem with Smallville is their WRITERS SUCK. lol

Look at Season 1-5....how good it was.

Now its just garbage. Last episode when clark told lois he has powers...that was okay....but then he went to the past...and he erased it..like it never happened....and he didnt just do that, but also destroyed the LEGION ring....WTF?!

What a WASTE of life.....what a waste of 60 minutes lol....Whats the point making an episode if its going to be about a nightmare or...bullshit like this.

This show should of ended along time ago. BTW When they mentioned GOTHAM in one of the episodes...I was like THAT IS SO BADASS. Because interconnecting heroes the way their doing right now...is just awesome...its what keeps us want to come back for more.

Smallville is kind of BROKEN as off the way its presented....maybe theyll get their writers back. who knows.

Clark will fly in the last episode. Smallville: Doomsday, because Doomsday will kill Chloe. Also season 8 was supossed to be their last season. So expect him to fly in Smallville Doomsday

From the looks of that clip the show is advancing the storyline as fast as they can. You have a reference to "The Watchtower" which clearly showed shots of the rest of the Justice league on the moniters, Zatana, and was that The Huntress I saw standing in front of that broken window? It's obvious that as soon as Lois clobbers Clark w/that pipe that she'll finally be in the ever expanding circle of folks who know Clarks secret. It looks like they're ramping-up for a 2pt. season finale throwdown between Clark and Doomsday, where one or both of them will end up dead. (thank god those ktyptonians have the whole resurection thing down to a science) Fly like the wind Clark, the show is entertaining and even though some of the posts on sites like this are pretty negative, you can take this to the bank...We'll all keep watching.

The huntress is Sillito. Silleto is Lois with a cape and Silleto boots. But she just does it to get close to the Red-Blue-Blur
