The question about flying always comes up when it comes to Smallville's Superman. If you watch closely at the promo, (at about 3.02) we see, Clark catching, what looks like, a falling train. Is he flying when he catches it? You decide! Enjoy *grin*

I certainly looks like he is. There is also a point (4:03-4:04) where he spreads his arms and falls off a building with his new getup on. Which means he's learning or teaching himself. Ladies and gentlemen....I believe we are going to see Tom Welling actually fly this year. Woo hoo!!

I can't believe a guy got that excited while watching this.

Ok im hyped...not as hype as the crowd, but its watchable.

but i wish they didnt move it to fridays. Thats a sci-fi juggernaut on TV.

vonstallin@ i agree, you can only do 2 shows at once so if they overlap were screwed. although eureka and warehouse 13 are only summer shows so they will be gone by the time smallvile comes on.

and why do people scream at a movie screen? whats the point?

I like it... even if it seems mostly composed by cutpaste of past seasons scenes.
What seem to be new are Metallo (Cool! I love it!), Clark with his Neo/Underworld like outfit, clark stopping the falling train and other small small bits.

But I will wait and judge the new season when it arrives on TV. Im more excited for the final few Doctor Who specials at the end of the year. But thats not comic related so I will shut up now. lol

Tom Welling is awesome as Clark!

in the crowds defence.. if i were at comic-con and got to be one of the first people to see that trailer and then watch the panel..i would be flipping out to..mind you i would wait untill i saw the whole trailer..and then flipped out..but thats just me..is there a trailer
with better sound quality..it's hard to hear in some parts..i cant wait for this season..last season was good this will be amazing..havnt missed an episode yet

Im deff watching it, ive been a dedicated smallville fan through the awesome powers being learned to the dramatic soap opera episode fillers. This season looks promising.

wards@ i dont know what theatre you go to. maybe when you saw high school musical they did that, but i've never seen people cheer every time someone comes on the screen. they may laugh real loud, or scream when they're scared. but i'm 36 and have been going to movies my whole life and i can honestly say i've never seen people scream just because a character came on the screen, and then do it continuously every time they come back. except ofcourse, maybe in hsm 3. but you'll have to vouch for that as i never saw it.

Well, just a huge thank you to you all for adding to my very first peice for this place.

Anil, I'm with you on that one. I'm a die hard fan.
Ya know with Tom now being an excecutive producer on the show, maybe,just maybe,we'll get a little more Superhero. IE: flying, suite and who know's..even glasses.

btw, I trawled all over the nest to find a half way decent version of this trailor. Glad it's caused sucha good debate. Thank you again. ;)

This looks damn good, but so did season 8, and as good as it was the end result left a stale taste in my mouth I hope this season lives up to the hype.

@necrosage the suit isn't a rip off, aside from the jacket its just like what Jor-El wore in the first movie. I don't think its a rip off, I think its a cool nod to the OG.

My brother, who has to be the biggest smallville fan there is, said that he read an iterview with one of the producers and they said that this season they don't have time to waste on the filler episodes. I really hope that is true cause with smallville the good shows are awesome and the bad shows suck donkey balls, there really is no in between

hey guys, i figured it out! if you read Supermikes comments REALLY fast, i.e. just skim over them, they make alot more sense, you brain rejects the bad grammer all together. its kinda like shock, your mind rejects the tragedy your body is going through and makes it bearable. interesting discovery. i will try this method with future SUPERMIKE comments and see if my theory holds water. nevertheless, in the end supermike is still an asshole.

It looks to me like they are trying to reinvent the entire show. Make it more about superhero types and less about "teen angst." If thats the case, I'm on board!

@ superdog - I have been in a movie theater where everybody went nuts and yelling at the screen here in Texas, but it was understandable. It was when Yoda busted out his lightsaber and went to town on Dooku in "Attack of the Clones." Hell, I was one of 'em!

@Superdog@ Gideon is right people do that, It happened to me at the midnight showings of "Attack of the Clones" and "Revenge of the Sith".

At comic con stuff like that happens a lot, God the X-men Origins trailer was shown one year when I went and it was horrible, every time Gambit was shown people cheered so loud it felt like I was at a rock concert when the main band first walks on stage, but it was like they kept coming on and off the stage over and over and over.

HUGE SMALLVILLE FAN, cant wait for this, season 8 wasnt bad till the whole super lana came on the scene. God thouse 5 episodes were terrible, and the season finale, the whole doomsday vs sups fight that lasted a while 10 seconds; i wanted to punch a baby when the episode was over. Hopfully this makes up for that. The costume looks awesome, and although it might not be the tights, they hadda give em something instead of the red jacket and blue tshirt.

I also hated the 'supposed' fight between doomsday and clark. Did they think...'lets leave it upto the imagination' Don't they know the imagination only works on soft porn!? However, I really liked the last scene. I thought the acting was wonderful. Clark already had his new persona. (non gratis? *giggles* ) He already had the dark coat and shirt on. A hint maybe at season 9? Me thinks yes, indeedy. I loved the rehashed Olivers pad made up to look like Chloe's new pad..or should that be Watchtower. (how many times can they make use of crecsent shaped windows eh?)
And I also agree that season 8's infection of *takes a deep breath*..er L....come-on, you can say it... ana. *pukes* bloody ruined it. I used to ,and I say the word lightly LIKE her. But after season 6, I was done and ready to move on. Why the hell did she come back anyway...? I'll never know. Oh well. I have high hopes for season 9..Bring it ONNNNN.

*runs off to read supermikes post really fast*..dare I?

wow guys i had no idea. glad i dont go to those theatres. i can understand the yoda scene, but evertime blade spoke or did anything? thats hard to believe but ill take your word for it. i wouldve probably gotten into a fight in that movie cause i would have told people to shut the fck up 2 yells into the movies
