With the show's 20th Anniversary swiftly approaching, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has officially announced Smallville: The Complete Series 20th Anniversary Edition, which will bring all ten seasons of the beloved series to Blu-ray for the first time ever this fall.

The collector's box set will launch in stores on October 19, and will retail at $179.99.

In addition to all 218 episodes, the set will also include over 28 hours of bonus features from all ten seasons, including audio commentaries, deleted and extended scenes, gag reels, behind-the-scenes featurettes, and everything else that was previously released on the individual season sets. It's the absolute ultimate collector's item for diehard fans.

It's unclear at this time whether individual season sets for Season 1-5 will be sold separately, as prior to this announcement, only seasons 6-10 were available on Blu-ray, so many fans may only be looking to complete their collections rather than repurchase the entire series, although with that cool new packaging, it may be worth the double dip.

I loved this show. 20 years, wow. First big CW superhero show, and it introduced Clark Kent to a new generation, myself included, getting us into Superman

@noahthegrand - I was an 80s kid, so I grew up with the movies around, but honestly Dean Cain was my first live action Superman. I love Reeves, he is the prototype, but Dean was the first actor that made Clark Kent an actual person to me. He had the advantage of long form story telling to develop his version of Clark more in depth than a film. I saw the Superboy show when it was on but it was so terrible my dad refused to let it play on our TV.

So aside from Lois and Clark, it wasn't until Smallville I really had a deep dive into how Clark grew into and learned to become Superman. I swear, Smallville was always just on the verge of being the greatest Superman adaptation but always got in its own way. WB gave them so many restrictions, the show wasn't allowed to ever go all out, even in the finale.

Still love the show, but I also hate it. I've watched it all the way through 3 times and it really knows how to frustrate me. But Tom is the definitive Clark Kent and Smallvilles version of the Kent's (stupid over the top plot threads aside) are still my definitive Kents.

And obviously nothing need be said about Rosenbaum being the best Lex of all time.

hope they do individual seasons. Maybe if its on sale for an even hundred ill pick up the set, but I am not spending that much all at once on something that could end up having a broken case when it gets here. Seriously those thick cases are pretty hit or miss, half the time you get a cracked case or discs are out of their holders

Really season 8-10 were basically a superman show minus the costume

@dracula - Yeah I'd say there were 3 pretty distinct eras

seasons 1-3 - High school "Freak of the week"

seasons 4-7 - A kinda transition period where it was a romantic soap mixed with more comic book elements.

seasons 8-10 - basically a very low budget Superman show without the suit.

I grew up watching this show in my "formative" years from middle school to college. It's not the best but it sure was (still is) my favorite show.

@LukeCage2155 - I was around 10 or 11 when I started watching when Season 2 was airing and the show finished my senior year. But the crazy thing was that when I watched the finale, the sky outside my house was purple/orange and there was a thunder storm slowly impending and it hit the same time Apokolips was getting close to Earth. It felt so real lol
