Speaking with Empire Magazine (via Coventry Telegraph), director Kenneth Branagh talks a little bit more about the characters in this epic story that revolves around the God of Thunder.

Check it out:

"I wanted there to be a contemporary element to the story. The idea of a fish out of water, an exotic Asgardian coming to present-day Earth, was important to me. We also wanted family dynamics to be at the centre of things. We looked at relationships in a way that is paralleled by Biblical stories: deadly sibling rivalry, parents at war with children, the isolation of the tight royal circle. Shakespeare's treatment of familial problems endured by the rich and powerful was also an inspiration."

Film is set to hit theatres on May 6, and stars Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Anthony Hopkins and Natalie Portman.

Naji, I surely hope so. THis guy Branagh is taking cues from Bibical and Shakespearian works! Who knew a superhero movie would be made with this kind of treatment! CANNOT WAIT to see how this plays out. THe wait is painful! I think THOR will be the best CBM of 2011

He's a great director. Watched "Much Ado about Nothing" the other day, he did very will adapting that and I'd be willing to bet he'll do great on adapting Thor.
