Paramount Pictures and Marvel Entertainment present the epic adventure, “Thor,” which spans the Marvel Universe from present day Earth to the realm of Asgard. At the center of the story is the mighty Thor (Chris Hemsworth), a powerful but arrogant warrior whose reckless actions reignite an ancient war. Thor is cast down to Earth by his father Odin (Anthony Hopkins) and is forced to live among humans. A beautiful, young scientist, Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), has a profound effect on Thor, as she ultimately becomes his first love. It’s while here on Earth that Thor learns what it takes to be a true hero when the most dangerous villain of his world sends the darkest forces of Asgard to invade Earth.

From what he says, it sounds like they put a lot of hard work into the 3D conversion. Also, his description of the six warriors riding on horseback along the Bifröst sounds amazing.

Thor hits theaters on May 6th!

It's good to hear that he was able to concentrate on making this its own thing. I don't want this or Cap to have the Iron Man 2 problem of feeling too focused on Avengers.

I loved this interview. There were a few things he said that made me feel really sure he's the right man for the job (as if I didn't know already):

- His vision of bifrost
- When he says 3d isn't just about stuff hittin' you in the face
- His avoidance of the movie being too campy, too cheesy or too fantastic

BIGBMH - god dammit, IM2 WAS NOT focused on the Avengers???

If it lacked anything it was story, but IM2 was still a great [frick]ing movie.

The film's world premiere is this Sunday in Australia! Very much looking forward to this one, but I do fear that I'll have heard so much about it after it plays for 2 weeks internationally before opening here in the states.

Branagh is the man! I just watched wild wild west, which is by no means his best performance, but IMO, he stole the show.
