A new deleted scene from Thor: Love and Thunder is shared with fans to advertise the film's upcoming digital, 4K, Blu-ray, and DVD release. Thor: Love and Thunder grossed $748.3 million and is entitled to the fifth highest-grossing film of 2022. While the film's 4K, Blu-ray, and DVD release dates are approaching, Marvel attempts to excite fans by sharing deleted scenes and Greek Gods are the focus of these deleted scenes.

Zeus is one of the biggest marketing strategies of Thor: Love and Thunder. From the earliest trailers to the newly shared deleted scenes, Zeus is teased and used as a way to advertise the film. The new deleted scene put Zeus in our sight after having a crucial part in the film Omnipotence City sequence. Played by Russell Crowe, Zeus is expected to help Thor, Jane, Valkyrie, and Korg but ends up acting arrogant and selfish. After Thor seemingly killed Zeus, he disappeared from the scene until the post-credit scene.

The deleted scene takes place in a hospital, where Jane is lying down and having a touching moment with Thor. The deleted scene shows an altered version of the scene and has Zeus standing behind a curtain, eating a cone of ice cream, overhearing what Thor and Jane say. What makes the scene significant is that Zeus says "Come with me, I have something you might need."

This is not the only deleted scene featuring a Greed God. A couple of days ago, another deleted scene is shared by IGN featuring Dionysus, God of fertility and fruitfulness. His eating grapes with a goofy behavior was the main entertainment despite the unfinished VFX. The actor's performance as Dionysus attracted some attention from fans and advertise the Blu-Ray release successfully.

Thor: Love and Thunder is written and directed by Taika Waititi, whose comedic approach to the MCU is apparent since Thor: Ragnarok, the first MCU film that Waititi directed. Knowing Waititi's comedy actually makes these deleted scenes reasonable. Dionysus and the way he behaves have a comedic value and this comedy is the main reason to share it despite the visibly unfinished CGI. Crowe's Zeus is one of the biggest sources of comedy, especially for the substantially long Omnipotence City sequence. The deleted scene offers a variation and one more chance to see Crowe's Zeus.

Thor: Love and Thunder will be available on Disney+ on September 8. For the fans of physical purchases, the movie's 4K Ultra HD, Blu-Ray, and DVD versions will be available on September 27. Check out the deleted scene on People's website.
