THOR: LOVE AND THUNDER Gag Reel Reveals That Jamie Alexander's Sif Originally Had A Larger Role

The gag reel that'll be included on the Blu-ray release of Thor: Love and Thunder has found its way online, and the video reveals that Lady Sif (Jamie Alexander) originally had a more substantial role.

Poor Sif just can't catch a break!

The gag reel (yeah yeah, the whole movie was a gag reel, etc) for Thor: Love and Thunder has been shared online ahead of the movie's Blu-ray release on September 27, and one brief shot reveals that Jamie Alexander's perennially underutilized Asgardian warrior originally had a more substantial part.

Lady Sif can be glimpsed sitting in a wheelchair during the town hall meeting scene, after being rescued by Thor following her (off-camera) battle with Gorr the God Butcher on Alfheim.

Sif showed up in the Ragnarok sequel when she was discovered by Thor after losing an arm during her face-off with Gorr, and was later seen training Axl on New Asgard. Her brief role was largely played for laughs (like pretty much every other character), but there's always a chance Alexander will be given an opportunity to return to The MCU down the line.

Thor: Love and Thunder finds Thor (Chris Hemsworth) on a journey unlike anything he’s ever faced – a quest for inner peace. But his retirement is interrupted by a galactic killer known as Gorr the God Butcher (Christian Bale), who seeks the extinction of the gods. To combat the threat, Thor enlists the help of King Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson), Korg (Taika Waititi) and ex-girlfriend Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), who – to Thor’s surprise – inexplicably wields his magical hammer, Mjolnir, as the Mighty Thor.

Together, they embark upon a harrowing cosmic adventure to uncover the mystery of the God Butcher’s vengeance and stop him before it’s too late.

Directed by Waititi (Thor: Ragnarok, Jojo Rabbit) and produced by Kevin Feige and Brad Winderbaum, Thor: Love and Thunder  is now playing in theaters.

@GhostDog - the movie had a concerning amount of nepotism to it didn't it...

Thor ensured future marvel money by having his own daughter as what I consider to be a major character in thors story going forward.

Taika making sure korg (who he voices) has a prominent role in both this film and ragnarok.

Slaying most if not all of thors other friends.

It's almost like taika himself is Memphisto, manipulating Thor and destroying what he loves to keep him dependent on Taika/Korg.

Ok maybe I went a little too deep there lol

@Vigor - I think you’re on the money. Bullseye.

Movie felt like friends [frick]ing around and ensuring their circles got in on it all.
