THOR: LOVE AND THUNDER Trailer Includes Some Crazy New Scenes And Surprising Cosmic Reveals

Hot on the heels of those new clips earlier today, Marvel Studios has released a new Thor: Love and Thunder trailer to celebrate THORsday!

While there are some fun moments to be found here, including a lengthy exchange between the God of Thunder and Star-Lord, we also learn how Thor acquires his goats. It appears they aren't Asgardian in nature (unlike their mystical comic book counterparts), and instead hail from the alien planet Thor and the Guardians of the Galaxy head to on vacation.

However, they scream. Like, a lot

Most intriguing, though, is a shot of two Celestials in Olympus. On the page, the Olympians were manipulated by the Celestials, so Marvel Studios may be looking for ways to tie Thor: Love and Thunder into Eternals. That would make sense and could eventually explain the existence of "Gods" in the MCU, especially as they've been previously been referred to as aliens in this world.

We're trying to identify who these Celestials might be, but their presence is very interesting, and point to Thor's latest solo adventure being a cosmic caper on a whole other level.

Expect the first reactions to drop soon, especially with the world premiere taking place in Los Angeles tonight. We wouldn't anticipate spoilers following, but there's always a chance as a tonne of people tend to get invites to these events. With that in mind, you might want to be careful navigating social media over the next couple of weeks.

Check out this new Thor: Love and Thunder trailer below:

The movie finds Thor (Chris Hemsworth) on a journey unlike anything he’s ever faced – a quest for inner peace. But his retirement is interrupted by a galactic killer known as Gorr the God Butcher (Christian Bale), who seeks the extinction of the gods. To combat the threat, Thor enlists the help of King Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson), Korg (Taika Waititi) and ex-girlfriend Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), who – to Thor’s surprise – inexplicably wields his magical hammer, Mjolnir, as the Mighty Thor.

Together, they embark upon a harrowing cosmic adventure to uncover the mystery of the God Butcher’s vengeance and stop him before it’s too late.

Directed by Taika Waititi, the movie stars Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Christian Bale, Tessa Thompson, Russell Crowe, Jaimie Alexander, Chris Pratt, Karen Gillan, and Sean Gunn among others.

Thor: Love and Thunder is set to be released in theaters on July 8, 2022.

it's so weird seeing Quill being the straight man for once
also, at 0:12, are those celestials?

@Spidey91 - looked like it to me! They appear to resemble the original Kirby designs vs the MCU Eternals version. Happy!

I love Ragnarok. It's one of my top 5 MCU films.

That being said, I don't like how goofy, stupid and 200% overblown comedic this film is shaping up to be.

Could they have left at least ONE scene where someone doesn't do anything stupid or says a joke?

@kylo0607 - just remember they throw far more percentage wise into the commercials that what you actually get in the movie.
