THOR: LOVE AND THUNDER Trailer Strikes Mighty 209 Million Views In 24 Hours

Though it didn't quite catch Marvel Studios' heavy-hitter Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame, the first trailer for Thor: Love and Thunder racked-up a very respectable 209 million views in 24 hours.

After what seemed like an eternity, Marvel Studios finally debuted the first footage from Thor: Love and Thunder yesterday, and the teaser has already been viewed a mighty 209 million times across all digital platforms.

The first trailer for Taika Waititi's Thor: Ragnarok follow-up didn't quite manage to catch MCU heavy-hitters Avengers: Infinity War (230 million) and Avengers: Endgame (289 million), and didn't come close to reigning champ Spider-Man: No Way Home (355.5 million), but this is still a very impressive feat.

Set to Guns N’ Roses’ classic, “Sweet Child O’ Mine,” the colorful, light-hearted preview was light on major reveals, but it did give fans plenty to talk about and featured our first live-action look at Natalie Portman's Jane Foster suited-up as The Mighty Thor (you can check out a full breakdown here).

What did you guys think of the trailer? Have another look below, and drop us a comment in the usual spot.

Thor: Love and Thunder finds Thor (Chris Hemsworth) on a journey unlike anything he’s ever faced – a quest for inner peace. But his retirement is interrupted by a galactic killer known as Gorr the God Butcher (Christian Bale), who seeks the extinction of the gods. To combat the threat, Thor enlists the help of King Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson), Korg (Taika Waititi) and ex-girlfriend Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), who – to Thor’s surprise – inexplicably wields his magical hammer, Mjolnir, as the Mighty Thor.

Together, they embark upon a harrowing cosmic adventure to uncover the mystery of the God Butcher’s vengeance and stop him before it’s too late.

Directed by Waititi (Thor: Ragnarok, Jojo Rabbit) and produced by Kevin Feige and Brad Winderbaum, Thor: Love and Thunder opens in theaters July 8, 2022.

@lordSTALE - I actually wouldn't be surprised if they do a twist where Bale plays Gorr totally for laughs.

@TheHumanSpider2 - I dunno buddy this trailer looks like Ragnorak 2, almost makes makes Doc 2 look like high art in comparison because not every single scene is played for laughs. Basing on teaser alone of course but we all saw Ragnorak, jokes per minute were off the chain
