New THOR: RAGNAROK Image Features Chris Hemsworth's God Of Thunder Rushing Into Action

A new image from Marvel's Thor: Ragnarok was shown during Disney's CinemaCon panel last night, and we have a low-res look at Chris Hemsworth as a battle-ready God of Thunder right here...

Disney screened a sizzle reel consisting of footage from the likes of GOTG Vol. 2, Thor: Ragnarok and Star Wars: The Last Jedi (it was a brief shot of Rey wielding Luke's Lightsaber, apparently) during their CinemaCon panel last night, and while that hasn't found its way online yet, we do have a new image from Marvel's Thor threequel for you guys.

The pic features a short-haired God of Thunder (Chris Hemsworth) seemingly rushing into battle - though this is probably not a shot from Thor's gladiatorial fight on Sakaar, as he's not sporting his war paint or weaponry.

The image hasn't been officially released yet, but we'll update if a better version comes our way. In the meantime, let us know what you hope to see in the first Thor: Ragnarok trailer, which shouldn't be too far away.

If this turns out better than the last 2 Thor movies, this should be the best year yet for CBMs. Homecoming looks great, Wonder Woman looks good, Justice League looks amazing and I heard Power Rangers was at least enjoyable. Man it's like I'm in the 90's when Hip Hop was really Hip Hop.

@LEOSTRATOR - Man, imagine if every single CBM this year turn out great.

@pitbull76

- I don't know what rap is like nowadays, as I primarily listen to soundtracks and scores, now. But you're doing exactly what the previous generation did. They complained about the "real" Hip Hop you're praising, now. They said it wasn't real music and was just talking. Every generation complains about the next and the things they like. The circle of life.

@heisei24 - Yeah, I'm even giving Ghost in the Shell and Death Note a chance although I'm not to fond of the casting for both. I'm just starting to not care about that stuff anymore, really ruins my experience when I go in disappointed from the beginning. It still would be nice to see some Asian Americans get some shine.

@Luminus - Ya but i grew up during to golden age of hip-hop which is from the 90s to early 2000s so its really hard listing to these new kids that don't even know who biggie is or 2pac.

@Luminus - Not true. The 70's and 80's rappers respect the 90's rappers and vise versa. These dumb mumble rapping idiots don't respect anything.

Also I was referring to the fact that in the 90's you got a taste of every kind of Hip Hop in the mainstream market. We are being forced this dumb down crap on the radio. I'm so glad that radio, MTV and BET will be obsolete in the future.

@pitbull76 - Yeah, the 90's was great. It was all about having your own style, now everyone sounds alike. It's not like we didn't have mumble, or slurred rappers back then, mumble rap is not really new. I just can't remember any of their crap.

@pitbull76 - Then you prove my point. I grew up in the 80's. I remember the complaints.

@LEOSTRATOR - False. Everyone hated Will Smith, Mc. Hammer, P.M. Dawn, and Vanilla Ice (for good reason). There are videos dedicated to attacking them. I would provide more details for you, but I'm at work and it's not safe to go clicking links.

Biggie Smalls and Wu-Tang had to release songs on the underground circuit, before anything mainstream kicked off. I heard Juicy for the first time on some shady sounding radio station no one heard about that played non-mainstream songs. I know plenty of non-mainstream joints that never got out, like BWP for example.

@Luminus - I agree that there were pockets of crews or areas that didn't like certain styles of rap. I remember people wanting to band NWA and the 2live crew. Plus Will Smith and Hammer where underground also, that's how most of the rappers came up in the game. My point was you had your pick of the litter, we had a buffet of sounds and style.

Plus you're talking about dudes that were in the same era slamming each other. I remember Ice T saying Will rap nursery rhymes, people slamming hammer for dancing and Vanilla being fake. That is a normal part of Hip Hop. We had a East vs West beef, a Queens vs Brooklyn and the South invasion. That is not the same as this right now, this is what peoples beef is really about.

@heisei24 - Homecoming and GotGVol2 both scored a 100% in internal Marvel previews among staff and family. No other Marvel property has scored that high to date. Makes me really excited to see what is coming.

@LEOSTRATOR - "Mumble rap." That's the third time I've heard that comment this month. Like I said, I don't know what's going on with hip hop, right now. So, admittedly, I'm missing some information here. But, still, those rappers are rapping, making, money and gaining fans. Who are we to say it's crap, just because we don't like it? Obviously, it's good, if they're successful. In 20 years, those "mumble rappers" will be complaining about the new talent. Posters will start epic debates about the "greats" of mumble rap and so on and so on.

Circle of life.
