Due to principal photography getting underway on the other side of the world in Australia, Chris Hemworth and the cast of Thor: Ragnarok couldn’t take part in Marvel Studios’ panel at San Diego Comic-Con last weekend. And though we got some new character details, footage descriptions, and a first look at the Incredible Hulk’s gladiator armor and weapons, newcomer Tessa Thompson has taken to Instagram to provide her own filming update and she even teased her superheroine Valkyrie’s weapon of choice which you can see below.

“Day 18 update: I have a lot of bruises,” Thompson wrote in the photo’s caption. “And suddenly abs from laughing so much. And I never want to not have a sword again.”

Meanwhile, Jaimie Alexander, who plays Lady Sif in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, did attend a panel at Comic-Con last weekend, but it was for her Blindspot TV series on NBC. However, given she had told fans not to worry about her Goddess of War being excluded from the Thor: Ragnarok cast announcement back in May, someone at the Blindspot panel had asked the actress whether or not she will return in the franchise’s third installment. According to Twitter’s Geeky Girl, Alexander would only say she “can’t comment” on that.

The fact that Jaimie Alexander is still not allowed to say whether or not Lady Sif will appear in Thor: Ragnarok can only mean she will make an appearance to some extent. It is also worth mentioning that the actors behind Thor’s Asgardian comrades the Warriors Three, Ray Stevenson (Volstagg), Tadanobu Asano (Hogun), and Zachary Levi/Josh Dallas (Fandral), were also excluded from Marvel’s cast announcement back in May. But during the Nerd HQ event last week, Levi actually implied he’ll spend a couple days filming Ragnarok while he was interviewing Loki himself, Tom Hiddleston. Only time will tell, but what do you think?

Marvel’s Thor: Ragnarok is directed by Taika Waititi, and it stars Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Tom Hiddleston (Loki), Idris Elba (Heimdall), Sir Anthony Hopkins (Odin), Tessa Thompson (Valkyrie), Karl Urban (Skurge), Mark Ruffalo (Hulk), with Jeff Goldblum (Grandmaster) and Cate Blanchett (Hela). And Thor: Ragnarok is set to open in theaters on November 3, 2017.

I can't say it enough Tessa is a beautiful woman. I look forward to her scenes playing Valkyrie, kicking butt and taking names.
