THOR: RAGNAROK Director Taika Waititi Actually Played Three Different Characters In The Movie

We all know that Thor: Ragnarok director Taika Waititi brought Korg to life in the Marvel Studios threequel but the filmmaker has now revealed that he also starred as two more unexpected characters.

Taika Waititi did an amazing job playing Korg in Thor: Ragnarok and stole the show in every scene he appeared in. He was hilarious from start to finish, something which should come as no surprise if you've seen his work in front of the camera in the likes of What We Do In The Shadows and The Hunt For The Wilderpeople. However, in a new interview, he's revealed a couple more cameo appearances!

Those were both made by Waititi as he played two more characters, including one of Thor: Ragnarok's lead villains. "I am one of the heads on the three-headed alien, this character called Haju. I'm the head on the right. And I'm also the motion-capture for Surtur." He was ultimately voiced by Clancy Brown but it's definitely a surprise to learn that he played both the adorable Korg and fearsome Surtur!

In another unexpected reveal, Waititi confirmed that only practical effects were used in the scenes with Doctor Strange where he teleported Thor around his Sanctum Sanctorum. "It was all in-camera. Just jump cuts – hard-cutting to Chris doing a little wobble, as if he'd just arrived. For me, it was great - we didn't need to do some sparkly VFX illusion. That stuff is very satisfying as a filmmaker."

What do you guys think about these new details? As always, share your thoughts in the usual place.

@Supercat6376 - I thought he was all three heads when I saw it. Didn't know bout Surtur. He has missed a cameo though. Lol. He was also the lead scrapper who asks Thor if he's a fighter or food.

@Unavailable - Nah, he's not the lead scrapper. I'm pretty certain he's played by an Australian TV actor.

@MonsieurCringe -

Most people don't know this but the Fenris Wolf is not a Animal its a God just like Hela or Thor.

The Fenris Wolf is a creature of Asgardian origin, said to be offspring of Loki and the giantess Angrboda.

In the comics Fenris Wolf is a little Stronger then Thor himself and can't die it regenerates itself just like the Hulk and Wolverine

@DoubleD - is that how it was able to pierce hulks skin??
DoubleD
DoubleD - 11/9/2017, 3:51 AM
@Supercat6376 - Probably but look how fast the Hulk regenerated didn't even slow him down. Hulk can't die either.

Grand Master could of used his death stick on Hulk and turned him into a puddle but Hulk would regenerate himself. Hela couldn't of poked his eye out or kill Hulk. Hulk eye would have regenerated itself too.

Godlike Invulnerability: Unlike most Asgardians or Asgardian beasts of burden. Fenris was and is forevermore invulnerable to most affronts on his person, taking and receiving damage from only the strongest of Marvel Universes Heavyweight's. beings or items of magical origin such as Thor or Odin have been among the few known to accomplish this feat.

Regenerative Healing Factor:Likewise, in the event that Fenris is ever damaged heavily whilst in combat or otherwise. It has a regenerative healing factor to supplement its godlike endurance and stamina, able to heal from even the most grievous wounds in mere moments.

@DoubleD - I loved the part where Banner faceplanted on the Bifrost and then Fenris snatched him up and shook him like a chew toy. The whole audience was like, "Oooh! Aaah!" lol

@DoubleD - Hela and the Midgard Serpent were also offspring of Loki and Anngraboda.

@DoubleD - Plus, the Aesir bet Fenris they could bind him, and if he was unale to break his bonds, they would set him free. As surety, they had the God of War Tyr place his hand in Fenris' jaws as they bound him up.

Then, when Fenris realized the Aesir (the Asgardian Gods) had broken their oath to release him if he could not break the bonds, Fenris bit Tyr's hand off. That's why Tyr has only one hand.

@DoubleD - I would have expected MUCH more box office draw for this film.

But I LOVED Mark Mothersbaugh's score or the film! Loved also that he use used Led Zeppelin's "Immigrant Song" in some scenes. DE-VO is one of my favorite bands, and to have the lead singer become a film composer jazzes me completely.

Looking forward to Danny Elfman's (Oingo-Boingo's front man) soundtrack for Justice League.

Two of my favorite bands doing soundtracks in film. Just incredible.

As an aside, Richard Elfman is outting tigether "Forbidden Zone PArt Two" with a lot of guys from the original Mystic Knights of the Oingo-Boingo.

Amazing.
