Josh Duhamel Says None Of The Cast Returning For TRANSFORMERS 4

Josh Duhamel talked about the upcoming continuation of Michael Bay's Transformers movies by saying he doesn't think any of the cast from the last film will be involved.

While attending a party for Sony PlayStation's new PS Vita portable entertainment system actor Josh Duhamel was asked by E! about Michael Bay continuing on with the Transformers franchise. More specifically he was asked if he was reprising his role in the next film as Lt. Colonel William Lennox, "I don't think anybody's doing it," said Duhamel. "I know Shia [LaBoeuf]'s not doing it. I don't think Tyrese or Rosie [Huntington-Whiteley] or anybody else is doing it." He also went on to say that he is not surprised that Paramount is moving forward with more Transformers films since the last on grossed over 1 billion dollars at the box office last summer. "Whenever these movies make that much money they're going to make as many as they can, but I haven't heard anything about it. They haven't called me."

It was earlier reported that the fourth film is going to be a hybrid using some of the continuity of the first films while establishing some on its own. Producer Lorenzo Di Bonaventura didn't rule out any of the old cast returning, but said it will most likely consist of new cast. Doesn't matter...I'd rather have all the casts returning and Michael Bay gone, instead of the other way around.

I hope they take the opportunity to reboot the design of the transformers and go with a look closer to the original cartoons.

It's sad that he won't be in it. I loved his character. But if this is how Shia LeBouf has to be removed from this franchise then this is how it has to be.

Not hating on LeBouf as an actor in general, but his schtick in the Transformers movies is past due date and curdled. Time to throw him out.

@GUNSMITH, those two transformers were so obviously racist it was almost disturbing. Look at the orange robot's big lips and big ears and the gold tooth on the other one is just ridiculous..it's like they wanted to be racist lol. But I still enjoyed the movie :) (action scenes mostly)

I liked Duhamel more than the rest of teh cast. He'd have been a better "Duke" than Channing Tatum.

They need to go with the designs like the "War for Cybertron" games.

I would prefer a humanless Transformers trilogy. If anything, hire recognizable actors to voice the 'Bots and leave it at that.

I didn't mind him or Tyrese. The new girl they cast and the entire Witwicky family is what needs to go. And I don't care what anyone says, those 2 smaller robots were the [frick]ing Twins reincarnated.

bring on the next group of failures! Or not. Actors aren't necessarily THAT important if done a certain way. Focus on just autobots like we want.

Keep the actors, ditch Michael Bay. Also I would love to see the stereotypical twins from II back in it, within the opening scene we see them get destoryed by Megatron who will return (again) and then die (again).

Actually, you know what I dunno, they just released that awesome tri-pack on blu ray, and now u have to buy a 4th...scrap this lol

@scorpion8125
I hated the first jack ass movie and never bothered to watch the others im an full grown adult and i liked the first and third transformers. The second was kinda more like a badly done humor filled romp. But i think the acting was more than good and that at most they need new writers and directors but not a new cast .

I would have been fine if just Shia LaBoeuf wasn't returning.

They don't need to get rid of everyone else. Maybe the fourth film will focus completely on the Autobots and the Decepticons.

It does sound like they could be taking out the human element.
