My Take on a New Transformer in Transformers: Dark of the Moon

After watching the new teaser trailer for Transformers: Dark of the Moon, I must say that even though director Michael Bay has butchered everything that was great about Generation 1 into his own, I still get excited when it comes to anything Transformer-related and I still enjoy the first two live action films too.

Though I enjoy them strictly for their entertainment value and that is all.

But after watching the teaser and seeing that humans did find the Decepticon ship on the Moon, I have to think that the third film will once again dive back into how humans were able to become aware of the Transformers long before even Section 7 was around.

Perhaps after the moon landing, the U.S. actually created Section 7 and we will see that in some kind of flash back in the film.

With regards to who the Transformer is that comes alive at the end of the teaser, my first thought was that it is going to be Alpha Trion.

The only question I have about that theory is the ship is the same we see in Revenge of the Fallen when Megatron goes to visit The Fallen on the moon.

So that means the ship is indeed a Decepticon vessel.

Unless Alpha Trion was captured and stranded on the ship without power, but it is all just guessing and speculation at this point.

Another thought I had is this could be Unicron since the color scheme is more of a match.

Again, Bay has the uncanny ability to change the Transformers to his discretion and even though Unicron is supposed to be the size of a planet, do not doubt that this could really be Unicron.

Regardless, of who it really is it also should be noted that Unicron has not been announced as the new villain and that is Shockwave.

Perhaps this is Alpha Trion and he will join with the Autobots to help fight off the Decepticons to close out Bay's trilogy.

section 7 was created by herber hoover, so it was way before the moon landing, the moon landing was probably a front so they could discover what was exactly in the ship

Hopefully Soundwave will be on earth in this movie. And it would be cool to see Megatron kill Starscream, or the other way around.

it cant to a decepticon vessel because you can see part of an autobot insignia on the floor behind the protoform head.

It can be the Ark either, which was stolen by Rodimus to invade the earth.

So, I think the robot will be Rodimus Prime

You got a couple of things wrong, danielwolf. Sector 7 was around long before the moon landing. And in Revenge of the Fallen, I wasn't the moon megatron flew to after being resurrected, it was Cybertron.

Good article, though.

first megatron did not fly to cybertron but flew to the nemisis which is on mars in the comic and second it prbably is the ark.

'I must say that even though director Michael Bay has butchered everything that was great about Generation 1 into his own, I still get excited when it comes to anything Transformer-related and I still enjoy the first two live action films too. '

Why criticize the man but 'Enjoy' his first two Transformers films?
