Original Megatron Frank Welker will voice one Transformers villain...

Frank Welker, the man who voiced Megatron in the original animated series, as you know was not chosen for the 2007 movie adaptation of Megatron in favor of Hugo Weaving. His co-star Peter Cullen however was, thankfully, recruited for Optimus Prime.

Michael Bay has recently revealed that he wants Frank Welker to voice a villain in the sequel Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen.
Bay said that he will pursue Welker for the role of Soundwave.

Soundwave was a Decepticon who shape-shifted into a cassette player in the original cartoon. In Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen he will become a satellite.
Bay also has admitted that Megatron will be back for the sequel, for those of you that did not know already.

The article can be found at: http://www.digitalspy.com/movies/a149293/welker-to-voice-transformers-2-villain.html?imdb

This second bit is about the other character. This was found on screenrant.com
it is more rumor than confirmed, but the reasoning is pretty solid.

John Turturro, who of course played agent Simmons of Sector 7 in the first film, has been found to be voicing a Transformer as well as reprising the Simmons role in the sequel.

A user on the official Michael Bay forums read something interesting from the French movie magazine Première Ciné Live and translated it for the forum. It revealed potential plot spoiler as well as who Turturro may be voicing, Jetfire.
Jetfire better known as Skyfire in the original Transformers cartoon is a flying Autobot. Jetfire in the film is disguised as a SR-71 Blackbird.

In the original cartoon Skyfire was a Decepticon who was a close friend of Starscream. He and Starscream came to Earth On a mission to explore prehistoric Earth, Skyfire was lost in a storm. Starscream searched, but there was no sign of his comrade, and assumed he was destroyed. He returned home.
Millions of years later, after the Autobots and Decepticons had begun their war on Earth, the Decepticons found Skyfire, encased in a block of Arctic ice, ala Captain America, and revived him. Skyfire joined them due to his friendship with Starscream, though he disliked their methods. When Skyfire's compassion led him to disobey Megatron, Starscream turned on his friend. Skyfire then left the Decepticons and joined the Autobots.

This is a paraphrased version of the quote from screenrant.com
Spoilers!

This is not in my own words, I’m just reposting it.

In Egypt- In front of Kheops Pyramid, stands an ancient palace built for King Faruk’s guests. At “Action”, Shia runs through the yard, stops at the doorstep and hits the door with his shoulder. Megan Fox, John Turturro and Ramon Rodriguez follow next and hurry inside the building.
Shia heads up, shout a few words at an imaginary Bumblebee, and gets in.
Three cars, the Camaro, the red TRAX and the green BEAT, start quickly and stop a bit further away to look out. The three vehicles are driven by black-suited (and thereby “invisible”) stuntmen behind the smoked glass.
At the end of the day, the crew moves to the third and smallest pyramid, Mykerinos.”

The article goes on to report that Michael Bay says “There is also an old Transformer, who loses screws and bolts at every move and it’s John Turturro voicing him.”

He also goes on to say that two Autobots Skids and Mudflap, are basically the comic relief of the movie. And Bumblebee has become a bit more serious in the second film as well.
Well that’s it. You can check out the rest of the article here at http://screenrant.com/john-turturro-plays-transformers-2-rob-6112/

I'll bet the Autobot who is old and losing parts is Kup. That is if Turturro is voicing 2 characters. I'm stoked about Soundwave. Next to Starscream, he was always my favorite decepticon. I wan't a picture of Arcee. One of my favorite Autobots has yet to reveal himself in the movies yet, Mirage.

I like Starscream, then Megatron, then Shockwave, Then Soundwave. Soundwave is awesome because he comes with gadgets, you get Laserbeak, Frenzy, and of course Ravage. I think the Autobot will be Skyfire, I mean Jetfire. It might be him because he has been comfirmed in the movie, but his voice actor has not. But the description fits Kup. Hmm... That is a thought Myth, I must investigate this.

"Hmm. Aging robotic lifeform, constantly looseing parts. Possibly homosexual. Must investigate further."

Yeah he was hilarious. The guy screenrant had about two paragraphs trashing him, I don't know why. I thought he provided appropriate comic relief.

The original Mirage was a blue and white Formula-1 racer. He had a badass sniper rifle that fired some kind of special explosive ammo as well as the device that he gets his name from, a shoulder mounted photon disrupter that bends light particles around him creating a thermoptics camoflauging effect, like the Predator or "Ghost in the Shell" anime's. His attitude is what I enjoy alot as well, the Marvel Comics version of him, where he is kind of an upper class snob who prefers subversion and espionage to outright brawling, despite being a superior combatant. This attitude makes him seem more of a Decepticon at heart, though he knows the Autobots are righteous in the conflict.

@Gunsmith: I agree with you 100% about the voice actor change outs. If Peter Cullen could still do Optimus, then the rest of them should be able to resume their roles.
I partially agree with Megatron's arm mounted anti-matter fusion canon. On a side note, does anyone remember the episode where, Ironhide I think it is, turns Megatron's gun on him and shoots him in the face. lol good shit. Without the canon he can still be called Megatron, though lol.
I totally disagree with you about their faces. It would be very cartoony, and silly, to keep the original series faces. If they were to do that, they may as well take all cursing and REAL violence out and rate it G so 2nd graders can see it without parental guidance.

I could care less about the voices. Prime is really the only iconic one. Although, I REALLY hope soundwave has the same voice, or something VERY close. That was half of his appeal. How do the minicons factor in though? They beam down from his satelite or what? The faces really can't end up the way they did in the cartoon. Although, I do wish they would simplify it just a tad? Also wish prime had maintained his face guard most of the time. Always liked that masked, samuraiish look. Hawk had a good point about kup being that broke down icecream truck. Makes perfect sense. As for agent simmons. Bleh. I didn't care for him in the first one. He was too goofy to realistically be part of a secret agency, and he is no longer needed for comic relief if trax and mudflap are. MORE robots. LESS people...

Here is a pic of Kup, and the ice cream truck for those of you who don't know what we're talking about.

And this is a pic of old Megs. It appears that one of his arms in the new movie looks like a cannon. I put this one up mainly for GUNSMITH.

He does have a broad voice. I think you're the only one who even said anything about him.
