The Autobots, led by Optimus Prime, are back in action, taking on the evil Decepticons, who are determined to avenge their defeat in 2009’s Transformers Revenge of the Fallen. In this new movie, the Autobots and Decepticons become involved in a perilous space race between the U.S. and Russia, and once again human Sam Witwicky has to come to the aid of his robot friends. There’s new characters too, including a new villain in the form of Shockwave, a longtime "Transformers" character who rules Cybertron while the Autobots and Decepticons battle it out on Earth.

Straight from the site, here are several screenshots of the bio from several characters that have been confirmed and are likely to appear in the movie, including Megatron in his new form, Shockwave, the three NASCAR Autobots, and Decepticons' Dreads.

There are a lot more to be checked on the site, not just character biographies but also including several story details, but it is yours to see right on the site which can be accessed by following the link below. Minor spoilers may follow.

UPDATE: The site Transformers Wiki also offered a new full shot of the Decepticon Laserbeak.

With the cast of Shia LaBeouf, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, John Turturro, Josh Duhamel and Tyrese Gibson as well as the voices of Peter Cullen and Leonard Nimoy, Transformers: Dark of the Moon will land on theaters on July 1, later this year!

It's funny how this sort of suplemental material is the only way we get a decent look at the robots. In the movies they're just big grey blurs crashing into each other. Shia's stupid mug is always in clear focus, though...

I don't dig the Nascar crap either, but I think this movie is going to be awesome. Epic robot battles, loved them since the days of Gen 1 transformers and films like Robot Jox!
