THE BOYS Season 2 Official Images Give Us Our First Look At Aya Cash As Stormfront

Stormfront is coming to season 2 of Amazon's The Boys, and that's bad news for Homelander and the rest of The Seven. Get your first official look at You’re the Worst star Aya Cash in costume right here.

We found out that You're The Worst actress Aya Cash had joined the cast of The Boys season 2 late last year, and now thanks to EW we have our first look at her in costume as Stormfront.

In the comics, not only is Stormfront a man, but is an even bigger piece of shit than Homelander (if you can believe that). However, it sounds like Amazon's adaptation will be making a few changes to the source material - and not just to the character's gender.

"She can be quite the feminist," says Cash. "You start off this season thinking she’s one thing and then discover she’s another. There are quite a few times where you’ll identify with her as an audience member or agree with what she says. I think [those] are the most dangerous people.”

“She’s the grenade that gets thrown into Homelander’s world and the world of the Seven,” adds Homelander actor Antony Starr. "She really causes me so many problems."

The Boys

The Boys

THE BOYS is an irreverent take on what happens when superheroes, who are as popular as celebrities, as influential as politicians and as revered as Gods, abuse their superpowers rather than use them for good. It's the powerless against the super powerful as The Boys embark on a heroic quest to expose the truth about "The Seven," and their formidable Vought backing.

What do you guys make of our first look at Stormfront? We should get a full trailer for The Boys Season 2 at PaleyFest on March 15th.

She looks exactly how I thought she would judging by the rest of the costumes on the show. Which is just fine.

@BlackBeltJones - The costumes feel like the gap between the CW super suits and the ones in big budget movies, if that makes sense

@tmp3 - it completely makes sense. It’s the middle ground.

The Boys was the best thing on TV last year besides Watchmen. Can't wait for season 2.

Kind of weird seeing American Flags on her arms and the Reichsadler on the belt.

Gender swap okay......taking a full on psychotic German Nazi and turning him into a patriotic (given the badges) American feminist? Why not just change the [frick]ing name? Nice to see the show continuing to butcher the source material beyond all recognition. So glad I didn't bother with it.

@CLTMAN29 - Source Material wasn’t that good, and I cannot take you seriously at all with a name like “Cltman”

I tried reading through The Boys, and just to clarify I absolutely love Garth Ennis, but The Boys was just way too over-indulgent. Like all of Ennis' little quirks rolled into a single package.

If you feel that way then absolutely do not look up Crossed.

@noahthegrand - Regardless if you wanna play on militant feminism and create a supe that embodies that as a modern idealistic threat - then that’s awesome. But just invent a new character and use a new [frick]ing name.

@noahthegrand - and this coming from a guy who refers to himself as ‘philosopher’ and ‘hero?’

@noahthegrand - Robert Kirkman and Garth Ennis both have great ideas that they are passionate about, passionate enough to make them happen... but they're not the best most polished creators.

There's a charm to that roughness, but you end up with some wildly varying levels of quality. Ennis especially, since he went for sensationalism so much of the time.

@CLTMAN29 - I thought it was for 'Cult'man, now I feel naive'.

I don't think the comment there about her being a proud feminist is meant in a negative tone or light.

With that said I wonder how her interactions will be with Queen Maeve and Starlight. That interests me.
