Following that brief sneak peek last month, Amazon Prime Video has announced that the full trailer for The Tomorrow War, which stars Chris Pratt (Jurassic World: Dominion; Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3) in the lead role, will be released online tomorrow at 6:00 AM PST!

The film follows Dan Forester (Pratt), a family man who is recruited by soldiers from the future to fight a war against a deadly alien species. He's joined on his mission by a brilliant scientist named Vicki Winslow (Yvonne Strahovski), who may hold the key to humanity's survival, and his estranged father Slade (J.K. Simmons), who will add an unexpected emotional twist to the proceedings.

The Chris McKay-directed sci-fi actioner was originally set to open in theaters last December, but due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, Paramount Pictures ultimately made the wise decision to sell off the worldwide distribution rights to Amazon for a whopping $200 million back in January.

Joining Pratt, Strahovski, and Simmons on this mission are Sam Richardson, Betty Gilpin, Edwin Hodge, Theo Von, Jasmine Mathews, Mary Lynn Rajskub, Olaolu Winfunke, Seychelle Gabriel, Alan Trong, Chibuikem Uche, Alexis Louder, and Mike Mitchell.

It looks like these new character motion posters reveal only those that will be fighting alongside Pratt, possibly suggesting that Gilpin may be playing the villain of the piece, although that's just speculation for now.

The Tomorrow War arrives, exclusively on Amazon Prime Video, on July 2.

This feels like an idea that's been shuffled around Hollywood since the late 90s and Chris Pratt, knowing that his time in the Guardians is about to end, as well as possibly the Jurassic franchise, is looking desperately for another franchise.

I'd watch more Pratt movies if he didn't oversell them.

Remember Passengers? Me neither lol.

This premise has so much potential, but everything so far looks incredibly generic. But I’ll watch for Yvonne Strahovski and Sam Richardson.

A generic looking sci-fi actioner starring Chris Pratt? That trailer needs to be amazing to sell me on this movie.

Every time I see Chris Pratt now i just realise how much I miss Andy from Parks and Rec and how much fun he was in Guardians 1. Everything since that he rubs me the weong way somehow, he just doesn’t seem genuine anymore for some reason.

The trailer really has to sell me on the premise, but the cast already does look promising
