Apparently PREACHER Is Looking To Cast An African American Actress As 'Tulip'
While fans of Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon's awesome comic series anxiously await details on Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg's small-screen adaptation, we might have some news on how they're looking to cast one of the 3 lead roles: Tulip O'Hare. Click on for more...
Short of some interesting Twitter teases from Seth Rogen, we don't have many details on the small-screen adaptation of Preacher he's currently working on with writing partner Evan Goldberg. We figured it'd be a while before any official casting news came our way, but (though we don't have any names just yet) we might have some info on how AMC and co. are looking to cast one of the main characters. According to Superherohype, Jesse Custer's gun-toting girlfriend Tulip O'Hare is to "receive a change to her ethnicity", and will be played by an African American actress. So you can scrap your current fan-castings and start again! Who would be your ideal pick for this role? What about Jesse and Cassidy? Preacher will be produced by Goldberg and Rogen through their Point Grey banner, along with Neal Moritz’s Original Film. The pilot was written by Sam Catlin (Breaking Bad) and has Rogen and Goldberg attached to direct.
