When The Walking Dead returns in October, we're going to find out which character(s) met a nasty demise at the business end of Lucille straight away - but until then the speculation must continue. With that in mind, AMC has released the ominous key art below (see the larger version HERE).

It's also been announced that the first season 7 trailer will premiere during The Walking Dead's San Diego Comic-Con panel, which will take place on Friday, July 22 at 1 p.m. PT in Hall H. Andrew Lincoln, Norman Reedus, Steven Yeun, Lauren Cohan, Danai Gurira, Chandler Riggs, Michael Cudlitz, Sonequa Martin-Green, Christian Serratos, Ross Marquand, Josh McDermitt, and Jeffrey Dean Morgan have all been confirmed to appear.

Negan is the main reason I am hyped about Season 7. JDM is superb in the role.

Bring it on!

I watch this show but it's not the greatest show. Very long build ups for crappy payoffs but that scene with negan was fantastic I hope he can put some life into the show.

@Grodd87 - I disagree...most of the build ups have been fine, you need to have some character development, and they payoffs (excluding this past finale) have been great ie. The Governors Seige, Terminus, The Wolves attack... These are some of the crazy moments I've ever seen in television. But this past finale really rubbed me the wrong way, and it could have been great too if they just showed us who got Lucille.

@Grodd87 - True it tends to drag

@Kman - That scene traumatized me when I read it in the comic. I still can't read that particular part. It was brutal and heartbreaking. He was one of my favorite Walking Dead characters in the comics and to see him killed like that was just too much. They shouldn't have just showed who got killed, but they should have shown Negan leaving Rick and the rest of the survivors to deal with the horror of it. It would have been the most shocking episode yet, and would have left audiences crawling up the walls desperate to find out what happens next, as I was when I read the last page of that volume. It would have left the audience with all kinds of questions about the next season. Instead there is only one question. Who died? People can tune in and find out, and there's no reason to keep watching. It was the absolute worst way possible they could have ended the show. Especially since the trailer for the next season will be filled with spoilers as we'll know in the trailer, by all the characters featured, who all makes it. This is, hands down, The Walking Dead's biggest cock up.

@AMrSundayGirl58 - I agree 100%... Just seeing the horror on Ricks face as he is realizing what just happened and is about the break down, then you fade to black. It would have been nuts. But we're here now, lets hope they learn from their mistakes.

If they show any scenes that take place after that finale scene in the trailer other than Rick... I feel like it will give away who didn't get killed by Negan, and in turn make the eventual reveal lesser in doing so

@Kman - Carl didn't die, either.

Kman - 7/18/2016, 6:11 AM
@Luminus - Yea I fig'd Carl will probably survive... Abraham, Eugene, or Glenn are my guesses.

Michoooonnnnnne !

It won't be Glenn.. too predictable.

Also make sense :

@RevanOfKrypton - Ok, the hypothesis "works", nevertheless, I try to instead think of what it would MEAN for the show and relate it to the comics... Michonne is TOO big and still a main character in the comics, also she's become Rick's love interest and a mother to Carl. I do think the death has to be meaningfull so, and considering he should be dead already, my bet is on ABRAHAM....
DarthNihilus
DarthNihilus - 7/14/2016, 9:51 AM
@Starlight - yah Abraham is my second choice.. I know she's becoming important but imagine how [frick]ed Rick's head would be after that
Starlight
Starlight - 7/14/2016, 8:43 PM
@RevanOfKrypton - yeah, i know, but they already killed his wife and the last blonde girlfriend... must be used to it by now :p
Luminus

@RevanOfKrypton - Wow! Well done vid. Abraham seems like the only one who can "Take it like a champ," but I doubt it's him.

Season 7 = Negan
Season 8 = The Whisperers

They have every opportunity to make them the best two seasons yet.

@LordHarryLatts - Nah, Negan's running for a FEW seasons....
ZEROONE
ZEROONE - 7/14/2016, 8:47 AM
The continuous cycle of this show lost me after the first three seasons.

People die,survivors get together,find a place,zombies overrun it.

Find a new place,people are [frick]ed up,zombies overrun it.

It's supposed to be realistic,yet the main characters keep surviving,even though there is no reason they should.

How convenient. :-p
