Out of The Walking Dead comics emerged two adaptations: AMC’s long-running television universe and Telltale’s videogame series. Although not a direct adaptation, the Telltale games function as an extension of the comics' universe. The tv universe is still expanding, and comics and videogames adaptations remain popular. So, an adaptation set within the TV universe could be next. However, some adjustments are needed to make it a continuous, coherent narrative. An episode based on Broken Toys could thus happen, but might not work as that fits an older Clementine better.

Episode 1 - A New Day. Convicted history professor Lee Everett escapes custody after the outbreak and encounters Clementine, a 14 year-old girl who has just lost her parents to the undead, and vows to get her to a safe place. They travel through Atlanta and meet Lillian (based on Lilly & Joan) & Larry, and Kenny, Katja & Duck. Eventually they settle in an abandoned motel, but conflict immediately arises between Lillian and Kenny over how to run their small settlement. Lee manages to keep the peace, though tensions remain (survivors: Lee, Clem, Lillian, Larry, Kenny, Katja, Duck).

Episode 2 - Starved For Help. With supplies dwindling, the survivors relocate to a nearby lodge. However, another group, comprised of Jake (based on Luke & Javi), Dave (mainly based on David) and Maria (based on Sarah & Mariana) arrives there too. While they argue over who gets what, Larry is bitten by a walker. Kenny and Dave insist he must be put down, but Lillian and Jake oppose killing him. Lee ultimately executes Larry, saving the group. Then, a group of raiders arrives at the lodge, forcing the group to flee (survivors: Lee, Clem, Kenny, Katja, Duck, Lillian, Jake, Dave, Maria).

Episode 3 - Long Road Ahead. After the survivors escape in a camper found in the garage, it's revealed Katja and Duck were bitten by Larry. While Katja chooses to end both herself and Duck, Lillian leaves with the camper. Continuing on foot, the remaining survivors stumble upon a train and Ahmed (based on Omid & Alvin) and the pregnant Rosita (based on Rebecca & Christa) working on it. The group gets the train running and set off, but before they can reach the nearby city they are stopped at a railyard and taken prisoner (survivors: Lee, Clem, Kenny, Jake, Dave, Maria, Ahmed, Rosita).

Episode 4 - In Harm's Way. The group is imprisoned by the ruthless Carver. They discover Janet (based on Jane & Kate), mother to Maria and wife to Dave, has also been detained. The survivors hatch a plan to escape, but then Rosita goes into labor. The baby's cries attract walkers, providing the group with the distraction they need. Amid the chaos, Carver kills both Maria and Ahmed before being killed himself. After escaping, the group buries them and names the baby AJ, and presses onward towards the city (survivors: Lee, Clem, Kenny, Jake, Dave, Rosita, Janet, AJ).

Episode 5 - From The Gallows. The group finally reaches a settlement, only to find Lillian amongst its ranks. Despite her warnings, the group is allowed to roam free. However, they discover its Carver's raiders in charge. When the adults confront the raiders' brutality, they are captured and sent to the gallows. As Clem is about to be thrown out, walkers enter the gates. In the ensuing chaos, Lee, Rosita and Dave are all bitten. Clem is forced to leave Lee behind, while Jake is forced to shoot his brother. Ultimately, the rest manages to escape (survivors: Clem, Kenny, Jake, Janet, AJ).

Episode 6 - No Going Back. While fleeing from the overrun city, the group attempts to cross a frozen river. Only then, the ice begins to crack when walkers set foot on the ice. Realizing they cannot all survive, Jake sacrifices himself. The others eventually reach the shore, but a conflict erupts between Kenny and Janet, who seemingly let AJ die. The confrontation spirals out of control, ending with Kenny and Janet killing each other. This leaves Clem alone with AJ. As they begin to pass out from the cold, a mysterious stranger appears and takes them with him (survivors: Clem, AJ).

Episode 7 - Suffer The Children. Clem awakens under the care of James, who brings her and AJ to a boarding school run by a group of children. However, it turns out Clem and AJ aren't the only ones to have escaped the city. Lillian and the remaining raiders have tracked them, seeking revenge. Together with the other kids, Clem prepares for an attack. In the following battle, the raiders are overwhelmed when a herd of walkers guided by James arrives. With the threat finally gone, Clem and AJ are safe at last and settle in with the boarding school group (survivors: Clem, AJ).
