The world we knew is gone. An epidemic of apocalyptic proportions has swept the globe causing the dead to rise and feed on the living. In a matter of months society has crumbled. In a world ruled by the dead, we are forced to finally start living. Based on a comic book series of the same name by Robert Kirkman, this AMC project focuses on the world after a zombie apocalypse. The series follows a police officer, Rick Grimes, who wakes up from a coma to find the world ravaged with zombies. Looking for his family, he and a group of survivors attempt to battle against the zombies in order to stay alive.

AMC have announced they will be airing a 13 hour marathon of their hit show The Walking Dead. The marathon will be held on Saturday, December 31st. Starting at 11 am, the marathon will last for 13 hours, until the stroke of midnight. This marathon will give you a chance to catch up on all of the show's first six episode season, as well as the first half of season 2; which is currently going through a mid season break. Now your New Years party can consist of crazy, zombie violence.

the halfway point season finale of the walking dead season 2 was good & there has been some good moments in season 2 but i still think season 1 was better.

Season one was best indeed, but season two was as good to me. That comes from someone who doesn't read the comics, though.

And anyway, the channel that airs The Walking Dead here (not AMC) has got the marathon like a month ago.

Just finished season one, and watched what is out of season two. Honestly, I don't know about this show. I like it, but the storyline for season two has been weak. You don't get much doom and gloom at the farm, and spending 7 episodes trying to find a girl? The owner of the farm is boring to boot. I really feel like nothing has happened in season two until the very end when they *SPOILERS*

slaughtered all the zombies in the barn. Plus, the overly dramatic sub plots with Rick's wife being pregnant, thinking it's Shane's really doesn't rope me in. I actually find her annoying and I hope they kill her off. I will say having the little girl in the barn as a walker was a nice touch, and having rick shoot her was great. Anyway, I hope they leave the farm, an we get back to the doom and gloom that made season one great.
