Funko has released preview images of its upcoming line of The Walking Dead season 7 Pops, and there are some definite must-haves for collectors in this lot.

In addition to new versions of Daryl and Carl (shouldn't he be missing an eye?), there are first-time sculpts for Jesus, Rosita, Gabriel, and of course, Negan.

These guys will be available sometime this month.

The Walking Dead returns to AMC in October.

No eye patch on Carl I'm let down.

Would've preferred Eugene over Father Gabriel, but still, very nice! Maybe one-eyed Carl will be an exclusive somewhere?

Who the [frick] would buy a Father Gabriel Pop?

Other than to burn it.

@SidDaAstroSloth - Completists I guess. The character is kinda growing on me though.

Wish these were a bit cheaper... especially the rarer ones. Found a load of convention exclusives in town today and had to stop myself going overboard.

@RorMachine - Better get your wallet ready for One-Eye Carl and bloodied Lucilled Negan variants (it's likely)

Seeing these Pops also reminds me that Carl really needs to get a damn haircut.

I've just noticed that Negan mostly wears a glove on just his right hand. I have to go back and check my comics to see if he did this too. 🤔

@antman8o8 - He does in the comics version of THAT scene, it's just a bit harder to see.

Hmm, the actor that plays Gabriel is going to be at the Louisiana Comic Con next month. Might need to pick this up and see if I can get it signed.

@Ramiel - Sadly, the El pop from Stranger Things was concept only. Funko doesn't have the rights for Stranger Things...

...Yet.

At least Negan looks like he's getting more looser yet more threatening in Season 7. His debut focused more on he's "evil" instead of "casually evil" which is what makes Negan great.

I just can't get into The Walking Dead. The show was supposed to be about people surviving in a Zombie apocalypse. But the show went into a people surviving against other people. I get that this is how humanity would turn into but it's like every season they find a perfectly functioning civilization only to have it fall apart. How is it that all of these random folks can build towns and armies but the actual military is wiped out?
Danbito
Danbito - 9/6/2016, 11:27 PM
@SonOfAGif - because they're the rats. They're the cockroaches. The majority of people on the show were weak good natured men, or assholes taking advantage. The military threw everything at walkers but the simple fact that death in general was beyond them and they found out too late before it outweighed them.

The Walking Dead has a zombie apocalypse for mostly a background. The true essence of the show is how the nature of humans turn when the rules are gone. After awhile, zombies eventually become second nature handling, but horrible people will still exist. People still carry on despite the inevitability of their own death in the new world.

Use to watch it, but still wary after they botched Something to Fear.

@Danbito - That is your reasoning for it. If it isn't shown or touched on by the show runners it isn't what they want to show. And that is where I as a viewer cannot get engaged. Sure the characters are who we follow but I want to see what the world around them is doing to them. I find every season to be the same concept. They find a flourished safe haven and the villain flips out and a war breaks out. It makes me wonder why the show runners don't try different avenues each season. Like what happened during the Winter? How do they deal with other health issues like cancer, STDs, bipolar people causing issues as an example
Danbito
Danbito - 9/7/2016, 6:28 AM
@SonOfAGif - oh no dont get me wrong wrong. The show fails at that. In fact the comics tackle all that. There was winter since the early beginning of it. For the show, winter is too much a hassle for filming schedules. And every instance of sickness and mental issues is just: shit happens.
SonOfAGif
SonOfAGif - 9/8/2016, 1:36 AM
@Danbito - I think HBO should come out with a legit good budget zombie show. HBO has good showrunners.
Danbito
Danbito - 9/8/2016, 11:04 AM
@SonOfAGif - The Walking Dead should have been done by HBO. I think they turned it down for its violence initially, which is ironic after Game of Thrones. There would be way less unnecessary filler and skipping around things like winter. At this point, the show has become formulaic aside from one or two wild card characters (Negan right now)

Negan looks cool enough, but could he be "smiling" more plz, his box art looks cooler than the actual figure. After the premier think they'll release Lucille's victim, with knocked in head? lol
