Not A Football Fan? Then You'll Love This Inventive Super Bowl TV Spot For THE WALKING DEAD

If you're not much of a sports fan, chances are you watch the Super Bowl to see the trailers and TV spots. Well, this promo for next week's return of The Walking Dead uses Lucille to deal with footballs.

When The Walking Dead returns next Sunday, Rick Grimes will finally get his act together as he looks to unite the various communities against Negan's Saviors. There's no footage of that in this brief promo shown during the Super Bowl this evening, but we do see Lucille destroying a football as the fact that the season is over is made clear in a very blunt - and surprisingly funny - fashion. Sorry, sports fans!

You have to hand it to AMC for coming up with such an inventive teaser, and with ratings dipping since the gory premiere proved to be a turn-off for a lot of fans, this may very well convince some to return to the Image Comics adaptation (because if you're among those who decided to stop watching, you're missing out). What do you guys think of this teaser? Let us know your thoughts on that down below.
