THE WALKING DEAD: New Teaser For Season 9 Promises A Brewing Civil War Between The Survivors

A new trailer for The Walking Dead season nine has been released and as well as dropping some hints about where things go next for our survivors, we also get some teases for the debut of The Whisperers...

Season nine of The Walking Dead is set to be a game changer as we say goodbye to characters like Rick Grimes and Maggie Greene. How far into the season their departures will come remains to be seen but both Andrew Lincoln and Lauren Cohan are only signed up for a handful of episodes, so they'll be used sparingly. Regardless, a new promo is here and it sets the stage for a possible survivor civil war!

Maggie isn't happy with Rick and neither is Daryl so it seems as if we can expect it all to kick off at some point this year, something which could very well result in Grimes' rivals taking him out. That would be a risky move, though, especially as Norman Reedus is expected to become the focal point of the series; having him kill the show's beloved lead would sour most viewers on him from the start.

Regardless, we also get what appear to be some hints about new villains The Whisperers and their presence should definitely shake The Walking Dead up in a big way, a move which is no bad thing.

Very disappointed in this show and where it ended up. Now with Lincoln leaving, my minimal interest has gone to zero.

Sucks, because the first few seasons was some of the best TV, especially horror, i've watched.

Seriously, it's time to end these shows.
It seems like the main actors want to move on. Well, except Norman Reedus.

I absolutely hate that we will be losing Rick AND Maggie. As a die hard fan of the show, I will keep on watching until the end, but they are not making it easy. This show had so much potential with the story lines that were already established but they just had to **** it up!

That being said, I am looking forward to the Whisperers.

@bobbo68 - I hope so too, but you know how those trailers build you up, there's an awesome 1st episode, then they just kind of drag along until the mid-season finale. Perhaps this new showrunner will liven things up!

You watch FTWD?

@Tusky - I liked the series 1,3 and 4 didn't care that much for 2. I like the crossover would to see more of that in future episodes.
