According to International Digital Times, Lawrence Gilliard Jr. is in talks to join the cast of The Walking Dead in its upcoming fourth season as Roy Stark. This would mean that the actor - perhaps best known for playing D'Angelo Barksdale in The Wire - will meet up with another actor from that series, Chad Coleman (who plays Tyrese). He has also appeared in The Waterboy, Gangs of New York and Lie to Me. We first heard about the introduction of Roy Stark when it was revealed after the conclusion of season three that AMC were on the hunt for the character, who will be a series regular, described as "a former army medic who is deeply haunted by his past".

I have watched the entire series of The Wire 5+ times and I'm positive that their characters have never intersected so I'm sure that "worked with" is not an accurate statement.

I just hope D'Angelo don't die in the prison like he did in The Wire.
