High School Redux – A group of drunken teenagers take a late night joyride with disasters consequences. As they cover up the accident, the man mysteriously comes back to life and attacks one of the girls. After Liv (Rose McIver) consumes the girl’s brain, she is taken back to high school as she and Clive (Malcolm Goodwin) investigate the case. A surprise death of one of the victim’s friends raises some serious questions about the case. Major (Robert Buckley) believes Blaine’s (David Anders) deli is not all it seems to be. Rahul Kohli also stars. Mairzee Almas directed the episode written by Diane Ruggiero-Wright (#112).

From the executive producers of Veronica Mars, iZOMBIE stars Rose McIver (Power Rangers R.P.M.) as Olivia “Liv” Moore, a medical resident on the fast track to a perfect life … until she’s turned into a zombie. Now stuck between half-alive and undead, Liv transfers to the city morgue to reluctantly access the only thing that allows her to maintain her humanity — human brains. But there are side effects to Liv’s new diet. With each brain she consumes, she experiences flashes of the corpse’s memories — including, at times, clues as to how they were killed. Her boss, a brilliant but eccentric conspiracy theorist, encourages her to embrace this gift and to work with an eager, unproven homicide detective to help solve these murders … and quiet the voices in her head. iZOMBIE is based upon characters published by DC Entertainment’s Vertigo imprint.

iZombie features:
Rose McIver as Olivia "Liv" Moore
Malcolm Goodwin as Clive Babinaux
Rahul Kohli as Dr. Ravi Chakrabarti
Robert Buckley as Major Lilywhite
David Anders as Blaine DeBeers
Aly Michalka as Peyton Charles
Molly Hagan as Eva Moore
Nick Purcha as Evan Moore
Bradley James as Lowell Casey

iZombie returns June 2

Wish she would just tell Major. I think she's putting him in way more danger by not telling him because he's just gonna keep digging.

That is Sin from Arrow! Same clothes... Same style... I bet it is the same character. I don't care if they never crossover, it is just good to know producers say "Hey, we are still in the same universe even if we never cross paths". Even if it is only an Easter Egg that's cool.

Maybe White Canary got a bit of her brains eaten before returning from the death.

Oh wow, that is Sin!!

This show is awesome. My wife hates zombies, but will watch this show regardless. It's the perfect ending to a DCTV Tuesday night. Glad it got a second season.

Was it the moment she reopened the door and Major asked if sleeping over was still an option. Was that when Liv started Major hallucination?

That's sadly not Sin.
They referenced Batman (as a pop culture character) a few episodes back, so the show is in our world.

I'll try to watch more of this during the next weeks or so. Watched the first two episodes when they were fresh and they didn't do much for me. Tried the third episodes recently, and it still didn't click.

But I keep hearing good things, so I'll give it another go! :)

@GetsugaTensho22 Also, I watch these shows consecutively on the internet so I don't know if it was last week's episode or not, but someone name drops Superman as well. If they wanted to tie iZombie in with Arrow and Flash, they could. Arrow and Flash are not the original timeline's so who knows what.

@TheGambitFreak @GetsugaTensho22

Superman was referenced in the Pilot episode and Batman mentioned in Episode 3 or 4. I don't think they were necessarily mentioned as "pop culture" though. They very well could have referred to the actual heroes. You never know..

While yes that is Bex Taylor-Klaus who played 'Sin' in Arrow and 'Bullet' in The Killing, it doesn't look to be the same character.

The hair-style is somewhat similar and she has a different black leather jacket on. Plus here she is wearing layers of necklaces where in Arrow she didn't have any. She is the lead in the new 'Scream' tv show coming on mtv.

It'd be cool if they tied her in, in a 'under-the-radar-wink' type of thing but I doubt it. I tried looking up her character name on iZombie but no such luck
