The season finale (James Gunn has all but confirmed that the show will continue) of Lanterns hits HBO Max this Sunday, and a new teaser featuring some highly positive pull-quotes from critics has been released.
The promo only includes a couple of new shots, but they may reveal quite a lot about the episode.
At around the 19-second mark, we see what appears to be a captive Sinestro being dunked into the water. Is John Stewart torturing the former Green Lantern for information?
It's been established that the planet John and Hal(Ogram) travelled to in "Bad Optics" has been flooded with a gas that causes hallucinations, so this may not actually be happening.
Then, right at the end of the teaser, we see the real Hal Jordan lying incapacitated before asking his mysterious captor what - not who - he is. After the conversation Zoe had with her grandson in episode 5 and the screen time the character was given last week, we'd be very surprised if this didn't turn out to be Noah Macon.
Of course, even if Noah is the person in this scene, it doesn't necessarily mean he killed Jordan. In the previous episode, the possibility that "The Jordan Boys Legacy" may have resulted in Hal pulling the trigger himself was raised.
Check out the new teaser below along with some fan-made posters, and be sure to share your theories on the season finale of Lanterns in the comments section.
