ARROW EP Provides LEGENDS OF TOMORROW Firestorm Clue
Fans have been scratching their heads as to how Professor Stein (Victor Garber), one-half of the Firestorm matrix, shows up in the Arrow/Flash spinoff Legends of Tomorrow but the other half, Ronnie Raymond (Robbie Amell) does not. Here's a clue!
On The CW's Flash, Firestorm the Nuclear Man is comprised of Professor Martin Stein (Garber) and S.T.A.R. Labs engineer Ronnie Raymond (Robbie Amell). However, the younger Amell's name has not been mentioned in any press or promo material for the show, despite the debut trailer showcasing that Firestorm will appear on Legends of Tomorrow. Recently, Arrow and Legends of Tomorrow showrunner Marc Guggenheim spoke to ScreenRant and dropped a major clue, acknowledging that the showrunner's are purposefully keeping things under wraps. "It’s a good question. I will say Victor Garber, who plays Martin Stein, is a part of the spinoff… and we wouldn’t have Martin Stein on the show if there wasn’t going to be some Firestorm."
Seeing as how we already met Jason Rusch earlier this season on The Flash, played by Luc Roderique (Seventh Son, The 100) one would certainly have to speculate that Stein will be combining with Rusch. Spoiler Warning:[There are strong (but unconfirmed) rumors speculating that Robbie Amell's Ronnie Raymond is killed in the season finale of The Flash, catapulting Danielle Panabaker on the path to becoming Killer Frost.]
Another point to consider is the addition of Dranz Dameh as 'Jay Jackson'. While most fans are speculating that Dameh is really playing Wally West (note the name alliteration of the two characters), perhaps, Dameh is replacing Roderique as Jason Rusch? We should have more answers for you around the time of SDCC later this Summer. Until then, speculate away.
Legends of Tomorrow is slated to debut during the mid-season hiatus of The Flash and Arrow in Dec./Jan.
