Kid Flash Actor Keiynan Lonsdale Will Not Return As A Series Regular For LEGENDS OF TOMORROW Season 4

Constantine may be joining the superhero team, but Legends of Tomorrow is set to lose one team member in Keiynan Lonsdale's Kid Flash, who will no longer be a major player in the series' fourth season...

The CW’s Arrow experienced a few casting shakeups with the departure of both Willa Holland and Paul Blackthorne, and now their other superhero show Legends of Tomorrow will undergo some changes as well.

According to TVLine, Keiynan Lonsdale will no longer be a series regular on Legends of Tomorrow, when the series returns for its fourth season. Though, he will have a presence in the show's Season 4 premiere and in the premiere for the fifth season of The Flash.

However, we shouldn’t expect Kid Flash to have large role in The Flash, as ComicBook.com has apparently heard that the speedster won’t be a major player in Season 5, but none of this means the young hero will no longer appear in the Arrowverse.

While this will undoubtedly come as a shock to fans who enjoyed the young hero’s time with the Legends, it certainly explains why Lonsdale’s Kid Flash was absent from the key art released for Season 4, while the team's latest addition, Constantine, was featured.

Now, what do you folks make of this news? Are you disappointed in Lonsdale's departure, or are you okay with them thinning the team's ranks? Make sure to comment below.

I could just never get into the character when they changed his hairstyle. I know that’s crazy but I couldn’t watch him anymore and it really made me lose interest in the character.

@cbostont1022 - dude, same here. I lost all interest for him and was happy to see him leave Flash.

That's disappointing. He was handled 1000 times better on Legends than on Flash.

@HeavyMetal4Life - I know, I was hoping to see more from Kid Flash on Legends of Tomorrow... This is such a waste =/

Does this mean that he's going to cut that perm/texturizer out of his hair?

That sucks because he fitted well and I was looking forward to see him interact longer with Constantine. Can't say this wasn't such a out of the blue movie either, his name was not in the casting sheet for the S4 summary about the Legends chasing after the "Fugitives".

I hope if he ends up in Flash again he is handled well. Third time's the charm. He needs a good growth like it was done consistently in Flash S2.

Comic Con is a must now to get full details of what is going to happen.

And don't hate on Keiynan, he's a cool guy.

With there now being an opening for a new superhero I'd like to nominate Jakeem Thunder to take his place.

Awe. I was liking him a lot better on Legends of Tomorrow. Strange how Legends seems to write every character better than they were on their previous show.

@MrDandy - Same, it just seems like a waste not to include him =/

Maybe he ends up in Supergirl (there's been some heresay going on for a long while about how J'onn, Winn, Mon-El and even Jimmy leaving the show whereas Brainiac-5 will become a regular in S4 but all so far unconfirmed) or he will arrive in Freeland and finally connect Black Lightning with the rest of the DC Multiverse.

Again, we need Comic Con right now to settle this.

I've never been a big fan of Lonsdale's Kid Flash, but I did like him better on LoT than on the Flash. He was sort of a misfit on the team although, they constantly had to come up with an excuse to knock him out in every fight. He was too powerful for the team.

On the Flash pretty much all the characters ha e become meh. I'm least interested in that show of all the CW show's coming seasons.
