LEGENDS OF TOMORROW Season 2 Villain Will Be Handled Very Differently; Are We Going To See The Thanagarians?
Vandal Savage was the big bad of Legends of Tomorrow's first season, but it sounds like the show will be taking things in a very different direction when it returns to The CW for a second run this Fall...
Vandal Savage was introduced in last year's Arrow/The Flash crossover, and when Legends of Tomorrow kicked off a couple of months later, he was the team's foe from the very start. However, Entertainment Weekly has some details on what we should expect from the show's upcoming second season, and it appears as if The CW series will be following the other DC TV shows when it comes to its big bad.
"Unlike season 1 of Legends, where we basically had the big bad introduced in the crossover, what we’re going to do in season 2 of Legends will be more similar to what you’ve experienced in the first three seasons of Arrow or the first two seasons of Flash, where it’s more of a slow reveal and a little bit of a mystery," executive producer Marc Guggenheim tells the site. With the surprise introduction of Hourman in Legends of Tomorrow's season one finale, it makes sense that they're going to take a slow burn approach to both unravelling the mystery of the Justice Society of America and why Rex Tyler was sent back in time (all we know is that Heat Wave was the one who made him warn the team).
However, one thing we do know is that Rip Hunter and co won't be squaring off against the future invading alien race, the Thanagarians. He previously indicated that would be the case after the finale. Tell us, who would you guys like to see as the big bad in season two of Legends of Tomorrow?
